Mary Elizabeth Meinhardt was born in Germany to Bernard and Catherine Meinhardt. She traveled

Her funeral was held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Newbury, KS. All children and an unusually
large number of friends and neighbors were present to pay their last respects.

Monday at her home in Shullsburg were held today in St. Matthews church at Shullsburg.
Mrs. Gabel was born in Germany coming to this country as a child with her parents who settled at
Seymour. Besides Louis of Darlington she is survived by two sons, Joe and Will, of Shullsburg, a
daughter, Mrs. Ed Morgan, Seymour and a sister Mrs. Geo. Gable, who lived with her.
Her husband died in 1918. Burial was at Seymour.

Darlington- Louis Gabel, 64, retired farmer, died suddenly at his home in
Darlington late Wednesday after a heart attack. He was born Nov. 24, 1877, in
Seymour township west of Darlington. He farmed in that vicinity until he moved to
Darlington about 19 years ago.
Survivors include the widow, Clara; three brothers, Joseph, Charles, and William
Gabel, all of Shullsburg, and a sister, Mrs. Edward Morgan, Seymour township.
Funeral services probably will be held Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic church in
Darlington.

Boniface Gebhart, 79 Years Old, Died Tuesday, Funeral Tomorrow At St. Mary's Church
Boniface Gebhart, one of the most highly esteemed and best liked of our citizens, died Tuesday,
October 25th, at the hospital, aged 79 years, 3 months and 13 days.
Mrs. Gebhart was born July 12, 1848, at Silverhausen, Saxon, Germany. In 1852 he came to
American with his parents and settled in Dubuque County, Iowa. In 1873 they moved to Carroll
County, Iowa. In 1874 he was married to Magdaline Ziegenfuss.
Mr. and Mrs. Gebhart moved to Faulkton, S.D. in 1910, and in 1917 they moved to Del Rapids and
have made this their home since that time. Mrs. Gebhart died in May 1918.
Twelve children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Gebhart. Three died in infancy. Those living are: Mrs. Ed
Hey and Mrs. Max Fiegen of Dell Rapids; John Gebhart of Faulkton; Ben Gebhart of Dyrersville, Iowa;
Mrs. H.H. Bunker of Colman; Geo Gebhart of Elkton; Henry Gebhart of Castlewood; Joe Gebhart of
Dell Rapids; and Edward Gebhart of Orient. There are 56 grandchildren and 4 great great-
grandchildren.
Mr. Gebhart was sick for three months and for twelve weeks of the time was in the hospital.
The funeral will be held at S.t Mary's church tomorrow (Friday) at 9:30. There will be solemn high
mass. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery by the side of his wife.
