ОглавлениеBefitting a show that has been lauded by critics and fans, Game of Thrones has been handsomely rewarded with prestigious prizes. It has been honoured numerous times. Here are the notable prize-giving entries for 2011 and 2012:
It won the AFI TV Award for Program of the Year in the USA.
Nina Gold was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Casting in the Artios Awards and Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series at the Emmy Awards.
The series was nominated several times at the 2011 Emmy ceremony, including a directing nod for Tim Van Patten and a win for Peter Dinklage in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category.
Dinklage also won the Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film at the Golden Globes. He was also honoured at the Satellite Awards and Scream Awards in 2011.
Sean Bean and Lena Headey were also nominated at the Scream Awards – with Game of Thrones winning Best TV Show.
Best TV Show at the Kerrang! Awards in 2012, and Program of the Year at the Television Critics Association Awards, with Peter Dinklage nominated.
The series received many nominations at the 2012 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series, Outstanding Costumes for a Series, Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Outstanding Special Visual Effects and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Peter Dinklage)
