Love and Relationships—Tips and Techniques

The Love Box

Here is what you need to create a Love Box to help you manifest the kind of relationship you want to bring into your life. It can be a romance Love Box, a sibling Love Box, a parent Love Box, child, friendship—whatever it is you desire. The only difference is what you put in it, and where you place your box.

Find a box—it might be an old jewelry box, an antique box, a cigar box, anything you can close that resonates with you. I happen to love wood cigar boxes. I am not sure why, but I have always just loved the way they feel, look, and smell, even though I don’t smoke cigars. So, when I create a Love Box, I use old wood cigar boxes. Here is what you will need.

► Your special box—whatever speaks to you.

► A love letter written as if your desired relationship already exists in the physical, present moment. If it’s romantic, write it to your partner. If it’s for a family member, write as if you already have the relationship you desire. For example, To my partner, I love you because… or I love that we… Imagine that you are already living your ideal relationship. What would you say to your partner, or mother, family member, or friend? Remember to express gratitude for what you have already created in your imagination. In your love letter, write it as if it’s already manifested. Mom, I am so grateful that you and I are… It is very important that you write as if it is already in the here and now!

► Take the time to find a piece of beautiful paper, your favorite pen, and handwrite your love letter. Don’t just write it on yellow legal pad. Show the Universe that you are serious in your intent, and want to create something special and magical. This is a powerful manifesting tool. When you take the time to handwrite your desire, you are infusing that paper with your energy, and the Universe only responds to the energy you put forth. After you write your letter, roll it up and tie it with a piece of beautiful twine or your favorite color ribbon.

► Include a small mirror in your box. Mirrors are for magnetizing, and putting a mirror face up under whatever else you include in your box, helps magnetize your desire. If you want to get rid of something, let go of, distance yourself, or repel something away from you—put the mirror face down. This is an important distinction.

► Find an image that matches what you want to manifest. If it’s a romantic relationship, print out photos that correspond with what you envision for the relationship. The same goes for other kinds of relationships. It could be picture of a lovely couple kissing or at their wedding if that is what you want. It could be a picture of sisters lovingly holding hands, if you are manifesting an intimate sibling relationship. Be specific. If you want to bring a romantic relationship to your life, find a photo of a person that fits that physical description and include that. The Universe will know your taste or style from the images you select. You can cut out pictures from magazines, or find them on Google or Pinterest. I love Pinterest to help me find images that resonate with me. I created a whole vision board using Pinterest. Remember, these images are only a guideline; be open to what the Universe has for you. It is usually bigger and better than you can imagine.

► Place things in your box that fit your desire. If its romance, and you want to be married, put in a costume engagement ring. Include dried flowers, a rose quartz shaped as a heart, images of where you will honeymoon, etc.—whatever it is you want to bring into your life. If it’s a harmonious family relationship with a specific family member, place images that represent the person. Include a white feather or white candle. White represents peace. You can sketch or draw images yourself, or you can find ones that look like the kind of relationship you wish for. Get creative and use your imagination.

► If it’s self-love you want to manifest, find things that are unique and magical to you and put them in your box. Take self-portraits that you love, write a love letter to yourself. Put in your gratitude list of what you really dig about yourself. Place a green candle in your box. Green is a healing color and resonates with Mother Earth, where we all come from.

► After you have filled your box, place it somewhere you can see it every day. It will seep into your subconscious, and you will find the Universe conspires to bring you what you most desire.

► According to the practice of feng shui, where you place your Love Box is important. Your home is laid out as a square, filled with nine boxes. Each room can be similarly compartmentalized. The energy is the strongest in certain areas of your home, so you should place your Love Box in these areas.

►Since romantic energy is strongest in the bedroom, according to feng shui, place your romance Love Box in the far-right corner of your bedroom. From the door, peer in; the far-right corner is your romance corner. You can include a red candle somewhere in that corner for passion or pink for love.

►The center left when you first walk into your home or a specific room is where you place your Love Box for your family; that is where the familial energy is the strongest.

►The top left corner of your home or that same corner in a designated room is where you should place the Love Box you created for yourself. Remember self-worth is the most important thing you must create; everything comes from believing you deserve it.

Your Love Box is private, and you should be able to keep it sequestered from prying eyes if you choose. I prefer to use a box with a lid that shuts. The last thing you need is for a friend or family member to critique the contents of your special Love Box. Sometimes, people with the best intentions can contaminate what we are trying to manifest with their own projections and energy. You don’t want that for your Love Box. Only invite those you trust to come near it. This box is special and magical, and should only have your love, and the support and love of others energizing it. Happy creating!
