Look after your hand-knits and they will last a long time. Store knits folded flat, if placed on a hanger they will drop. Products with essential oils and Neem are good natural moth deterrents but the best way to keep moths at bay is to make sure that your knits are scrupulously clean before you put them away.

Before washing garments, always remember to turn them inside out. Garments without decoration can be washed according to the yarn manufacturer’s instructions. Decorated garments should be washed by hand, checking first that any beads are colorfast. Dry garments flat wherever possible.

Some types of beads should not be washed, check the appropriate care when you buy them.
