34. What is a sacrament?
A sacrament is an outward sign instituted by Jesus to give grace. Through the sacraments, Jesus touches and blesses our lives. (2-8)
35. What is grace?
Grace is our sharing in the life of God. (2-8)
36. How do we receive God’s grace?
God gives us grace as a free gift. Grace comes to us in many ways through the Holy Spirit, but most especially we receive this grace in the Church and her sacraments. (2-8)
37. How many sacraments are there?
There are seven sacraments. They are baptism, confirmation, the Eucharist, penance, marriage (or “matrimony”), holy orders, and the anointing of the sick. (3-8)
