Never has any of them could see this coming. First, they mysteriously appeared inside a train that can travel from world to world. Next was this Alternate person and the quest he has given them. Lastly, they ended up into this crazy other world. One that possessed mechas who’re about to execute them just as they were about to do the same with those kids. But the most unforeseen event that happened, so far, was Dirk overwhelming that mecha

“I can’t believe it,” Gabriel gasped.

“That’s so awesome,” Hideyoshi said with eyes glistened by astonishment.

Enrage by seeing his own comrade died just now, the other mecha put all his attention towards Dirk. He fired his rifle at him. Some of the bullets hit him but for some reason, while he’s in a defensive boxing-like stance, it didn’t kill him nor gave him any fatal injuries. It just pushed him back a bit until the gun is out of ammo. So, the mecha resorted to close combat when he pulls out his large claymore sword. With one swing, he sent Dirk flying.

“Dirk!” Emma called out. She was about to run towards him, but Sarah stopped her.

“We need to hide,” said Sarah while forcefully carrying Emma onto her shoulder.

“Hide where?” Gabriel asked.

“Anywhere but here!”

Gabriel nodded. He then called out to Hideyoshi was still mind-blown from watching an actual life or death battle that can only exist from the world of fiction.

“Hideyoshi!” Gabriel smacking some sense into him. “You’re not watching TV. You’re watching a real fight that can kill us if we get caught up in it.”

“B-But,” Hideyoshi stuttered before he got hit hard in the stomach, and it finally brought him to fully understand the situation.

CRASH!!!

Dirk was slammed into a tall street light then onto the ground. Once the mecha dash itself toward him by using its thrusters, it immediately pinned him down by placing the blunted tip of its weapon onto his chest. Some foot soldiers, even the officer, showed up pointing their guns at him. They would have immediately pull the trigger if the officer hadn’t order them to hold their fire.

“I would’ve let them show you what the bits of your brain would look like since you killed a fellow I.P.F. soldier, you rebel pig.” the officer kneel down. Dirk tried to push the sword off from him. Unfortunately, it seems he doesn’t have enough strength within him, regardless of holding this strange supernatural power.

“However, if you actually killed one of our Bladers by yourself bare-handed, then you have to come with us for interrogation.”

“What makes you think I would come with you?”

“Sir, he has clinching with a little girl before the assault,” the mecha pilot informing his superior.

“Aw, I see.”

“You stayed the hell away from Emma, you hear me!” he snapped at the officer.

“Why don’t you behave now,” the officer grin sinisterly, “and I’ll consider treating her with the utmost care as I can.”

Dirk aggressively put all his remaining strength into moving the large claymore. Miraculously, he manage to push it off of him even it’s only a mere inch or two. It startled the foot soldiers, so one of them knock him out by ramming his face with a rifle butt. With him knockout, the mecha sheathed back its claymore as the officer ordered the foot soldiers to drag him back to their base.

BAM! BOOM!

First came a very loud gun fire. Then a loud fiery explosion burst burst from the side of the mecha. Once it has fallen, a vast number of guns where firing at the foot soldiers. Dirk was still a little conscious at that time but it’s only for less than a minute.

He witness, through the soundless void while everything is moving so slowly, the officer getting shot while the rest of the soldiers retreated. He also saw some ragged people heading towards those three children. He wasn't sure what they're doing, but to him, it looks like they're rescuing them. Then, right before he blanked out, some people covered in cloak came to him. He can’t see who they are, of course. Everything then went completely blank as a white page in the end.
