From the seeds of withering flowers a garden,

From the lifeless winter a fecund season,

From the stagnate waters and backwaters a moving river,

From the resonance of a child’s cry a song,

From the unheard voices of the newcomers a poem.

I will build a public statue of the innocent man behind bars,

Schools from the prisons,

Teachers from the prison guards,

The arrival of water lily season is near,

Let’s salute the water lily season together as one.
