Enchained in this space

Adrift in an infinite ocean of thought

The moon as my witness

I felt your energy

Enter me in the cold

Vast multitude of stars

All that I knew

Was your comfort - a feeling

That in this vast infinity

I am more than a mote of dust

Here and gone

In the blink of an eye

That searing pain

Always so all-consuming

Is fading with you beside me

Until - given time

All I ever was or will be

Turns us to so much dust in the wind

You made me free again...
