CHAPTER EIGHT

Оглавление

The sound of grinding metal was so loud that all Kyra’s brain could figure out was that she was upside down. The other vehicle had hit her with so much force that her car had flipped upside down into the ditch on the other side of the road. Her vision was foggy, as was her brain. Her body was starting to go into shock, so she couldn’t feel the pain from her broken bones or the cold wind that was whipping around her. She could smell blood and lots of it, but she couldn’t tell where it was coming from. The sound of crunching glass made Kyra look up. Someone was standing next to her.

There was a sudden, white-hot pain as the person bent down and cut her seat belt. They dragged her out of the wreckage and laid her down on the side of the road, then walked away. She tried calling for help, but the shock and pain had drained all of her energy. The other person came back and started tending to her injuries, which cause Kyra to scream when they were stabilizing her broken leg. The pain was so intense that Kyra immediately lost consciousness.
