Writing a book on authentic relationship requires writing the book in authentic relationship. The next section of the book is a collection of essays written by friends. Each chapter is a reflection of his or her personal experience with relationship: with their families, in the workplace, in the church, and with boundaries and addiction. Their stories illustrate that relationships are most often messy, hard work and broadly diverse. Were it not for the unspeakable beauty of the peace, fulfillment and irreplaceable meaning that relationship provides, it would not be worth the effort.

The authorship of these chapters is a demonstration of the points God wants to express through us.

We are not meant to do this alone.
