Straw bale walls can be built to suit a variety of esthetics. Finishing choices are almost unlimited, and different effects can be applied to different walls in the same home. Especially attractive to many owners and builders are the deep window openings, which can be finished in a number of ways to provide seats, plant shelves, or decorative sills.
