“She sounds psycho. She’s been nasty since the first time you met her?” Celia shot out the question before Emma had fully exhaled from her last sentence.

“She is psycho. And yes, since the first time I met her, she has been harassing me in one way or another. It's a good thing I believe in karma.” Emma flipped her phone over and looked at the time. “Damn. I forgot about my meeting. Too late now.” Emma moved her index finger in a slashing motion across her neck. “Off with my head. It was only with Ramona, anyway. I’ll tell her I got tied up with something important.”

“That’s the truth.”
