Taking his hand, Imani pushed from the seat and lost her footing. Daman caught her by the elbow and pulled her into his embrace.

After she regained her balance, she remained in his arms, mere inches from his face. His eyes ventured to her glossy pink lips. He’d never noticed how great lipgloss looked on a woman before.
