GZA Sophia and I are very close. We met in the early nineties before the first Clan album came out, and we are still just as close today. Sophia is bright and articulate and an awesome judge of character.

Sophia managed me for a few years and has been involved with some of my greatest accomplishments. She was the person who pushed me to lecture. She believed so deeply in me. Though there were times when I moved at a snail’s pace, she had the patience to watch a flower grow, and I am very grateful for that. As a manager, she was always concerned with the heath and well-being of her artists. All advice and constructive criticism always came from a place of love. As a friend, she is loyal and solid as a rock.

Sophia’s relationship with the Clan is one that has existed since the beginning of our career. Her photos alone are documented proof of that. She’s personally witnessed the ups and downs, the good and bad, the ins and outs, the accomplishments and failures, the growth and development.

It’s important for Sophia to tell her story because her journey is a long and very interesting one. I am sure that the readers will be inspired, moved, and motivated by it, and I am proud and happy for her.
