Chapter 4- How to find Minecraft Mods?

There are many different mods to use with Minecraft. Finding these mods is fairly simple to do. It just depends what system you are playing Minecraft on, a PC or on a gaming system. A PC, or Personal Computer, is a lot easier since you just search and download whatever you want. It is very easy to find mods for either game, but the process for finding the mods will be a little different. The gaming console has a much more complicated process for getting mods and installing them. Both methods do require a computer with an internet connection.

If you do not have an internet connection you cannot download mods, but if you download the mods when you do have an internet connection you can use them offline. So if you have a laptop with a wireless internet connection you could go to a local business or a friend’s house with wireless internet and download your mods. Then when you are away from the internet you can still use those mods you downloaded already. You can do the same with the game console, as long as you download the stuff you want while having an internet connection.

If you are using a PC you can search the web and put the mods right on the computer. There are a lot of different websites that have mods and they are usually free to download. If you search for "Minecraft mods" in your web browser it will come up with thousands of results. Usually every website will have different mods. It is best just to search the different sites in order to find the mods that you want. There are mods that do everything from letting you have a piece of bacon to flying crafts and upgraded weapons.

If you know specifically what mod you are looking for refining your search to that mod will make finding it a lot faster. For example, if you want to be able to upgrade your weapons faster you want the forge mod. So if you search for "Minecraft mod forge" then the first site to come up should get you straight to downloading this mod. If you aren't exactly sure what you want but kind of have an idea you can also try to be a little more general with your search and find many mods that do close to the same thing. For instance, if you search for "Minecraft mods vehicles" it will come up with a bunch of different websites that have a variety of different vehicle mods. You can get cars, mine carts, and all sorts of different drivable vehicles. There are websites devoted to Minecraft mods.

You can not only download mods but you are able to send requests to some of these websites and ask them for a specific mod. It doesn't mean that they are going to make the mod but if they get enough requests, or your idea is awesome, there is a good chance someone will make it. You can also become a member of these websites and get all the new mods as soon as they come out as well as many other member benefits. There are constantly new mods available for Minecraft so you can search everyday and always find new and exciting mods for your gaming pleasure. You can download individual mods or a lot of places have mod packs that have many different mods in one easy download.

Usually, these mods have many items that go together or have been made to make the game more enjoyable for most people. When searching for mods you have to figure out what you would like to do. There are mods for new blocks, abilities, features, items, and even new dimensions. The new dimensions are actual new worlds that look completely different than the original game.

Make sure you search many different sites for mods because every mod is different. You will most likely find a mod pack or two that fit your needs for everything you want instead of searching for hundreds of individual mods. Keep in mind that the people making these mods are gamers who are making these mods to make the game better and more fun. They play the game and don't get paid for making these mods so most of the mods are awesome.

Like I mentioned before, there are some specific items, like the piece of bacon that you can download. Mods like these don't really affect the game, but it is pretty funny to see someone holding a piece of bacon on Minecraft. So get crazy with your mod search or just be normal. I would suggest writing down some of the things you would like to add to the game before you download a bunch of mods. Take your list and search the web one by one for each item you have written down.
