Classical education in the era of gadgets becomes less and less appealing for the nowadays kids. IT had become an integral part of everyday life. Progress could not have omitted games and toys. Interactive sandbox Ronplay presents innovative approach to playing and learning.
Playing in a sandbox – what can be more natural for a child? It significantly improves fine motor skills, teaches to acknowledge haptics and perfects coordination, impacting the improvement of cognitive function. Interactive sandbox is a little model of the bigger world. Through creating virtual world, the child might find solution to real-life issues and process anxiety in a playful manner. The way the child plays, – creating indigenous worlds and destroying them – would help to overcome the fear of mistake or doubts.
More and more children nowadays have special needs; however, they are included into active social, educational and cultural life. These children go to regular kindergartens. Interactive sandbox will become a perfect tool to play and learn for both usual kids, as well as those with special learning needs in movement, fine motor habits and speech.
This tool can be used every day, it is very durable and can accommodate up to 10 children.
Interactive sandbox consists of a frame and sand. Laptop or PC with tailored software, projector and depth sensor complete the sandbox. Depth sensor caters for “magic” – it reads certain points on the surface. Depending on the depth of the sand, the image will change. Interactive sandbox is similar to a transformer. It can perform as an interactive table – a gaming environment, where the child controls the action with a touch of a finger or a palm.
With the help of Ronplay interactive sandbox, children get more visualized educational material, which makes the learning more exciting and appealing. One can create Earth surface with lakes, mountains, volcanos, valleys, animals, dinosaur skeletons, etc.
