People will and can manipulate you. They will do this at least if you take everything for granted and letting other people do the thinking for us. Take a look at the adverts to see the most recent trendy diets or miraculous drugs – all of these take advantage of peoples ignorance and desperation to buy anything which is not useful and can become hazardous. If we critically evaluate information (particularly the information that is meant to sell products), we learn how not to fall into the waiting traps of people and companies who are unethical.
It makes you as somebody that is better paid and employable. In offices, the best employees know how to find solutions to existing problems, while also helping to solve problems that nobody imagined. For you to get a great position after your graduation, you will be like these employees, while critical thinking is an essential factor when trying to solve new and difficult problems.
