This classy box takes seashell crafting to the next level. The doilies add sand-like texture, the ribbon adds a bit of glitz, and the shells simply shine.
MATERIALS
•Assorted shells
•7" (18cm) hexagon storage box
•6" (15cm) round tan crocheted doily
•3" (7.5cm) tan tassel
•24" (61cm) of tan ¼" (0.5cm)-wide satin ribbon
•24" (61cm) of tan 1 ⅞" (4.5cm)-wide lace
•Tan and buttermilk acrylic paint
•Sponge brush or small sponge
•Hot glue
•Clear acrylic spray sealer
1.Paint the box with two coats of tan paint using the sponge to apply a textured pattern. Let dry.
2.Spray the box with a clear acrylic sealer and allow to dry.
3.Glue lace around the body of the box, then glue ribbon around the top edge of the lace. Glue a doily to the center of the lid. Glue a tassel in place. Glue shells on top of the doily.
