I. Sources of evidence: 1. Personal knowledge.
ОглавлениеBefore turning to outside sources the student should carefully examine the contents of his own mind to determine just how much he really knows about the subject. He should, however, distinguish between exact knowledge and mere conjecture. His exact knowledge, gained from whatever source, is perfectly valid from the standpoint of evidence providing it can be proved. The line between exact knowledge and mere conjecture is determined by the ability of the student to lay his hands upon sufficient evidence to prove the thing that he believes to be true.
