The childhood.

I was born in Korea on December, 26th, 1927 in village we Litter, and on a lunar calendar of the Korean chronology in Sangun 4260 years on November, 26th to the address: a province of Phen An Bukdo, district Enbengun, volost we Litter Men, Dyng San Dang site, the house number 877 in a family of the official of city administration, the father as was the landowner – the land owner. Mother the housewife.

In this settlement almost all inhabitants carried a surname Men, therefore all it named Men the Tub, i.e. settlement Men.

Year of birth of the father 1896, on August, 29th, mothers 1897, on August, 9th.

Our surname Men on China is said Min, on Japanese Mej. The word designates it – the sun – the moon. Value of this hieroglyph-pure, perspicacious, wise.

From the childhood me learnt: «Where your Native land»?

On Korean sounds: «But the check and мu a se kar».

I answered: «The Check in sechek it that», i.e. my Native land is called as Sechek.

Now we will glance in depth of centuries. In 1271 the Mongolian conquerors have subdued China, have imposed with its unreasonable tribute. Their yoke proceeded more than hundred years. As a result of the revolt of Red armies organised by Secret sect of Bajljan Tszjao, aggressors have been turned out from China. The dynasty of Min which corrected with 1368 for 1644 has been based. The empire Min has softened at the beginning operation of peasants and has managed to unite isolated princedoms. To the period with 1405 for 1433 it has been spent seven sea expeditions led by Chzhan He. Trade with the West-has begun Portugal, Spain, Holland. At a dynasty of Min roughly develops silk manufacture and cotton manufactures, metallurgical manufacture. In the beginning of the seventeenth century the empire Min endures deep crisis. Class contradictions have become aggravated. The become impoverished peasants have begun war against the emperor. After overthrow by one of the centres of adherents of a dynasty there was a monastery in a Shaolin which reduced to ashes twice. Our ancestor has got over to Korea and has located in district we Litter. According to the metrics received in China, I am the descendant of the emperor of a dynasty of Min in the twenty seventh knee. Last representatives of a dynasty ослабли, as a result of decomposition, cruelly maintaining the people, have lost the power. But as a whole the merit of a dynasty of Min is obvious in development of China and the world community of that time.

Therefore I rejoice the name and spirit of the emperor as the poet has told, in me is very strong.

The house in which I was born, has been constructed till 1910 of oak columns and covered by a slate tile. All manor consisted of four buildings. The house in which we lived from four rooms and kitchen. Just the same house for servants. The third house with a verandah and a penthouse and a banquet room served for reception of visitors. On distance of fifty metres from our house there was a structure in which warehouse, a toilet and a stable settled down.

All ensemble was-an equipotential rectangle-a square in which there was a platform – a court yard on which it was possible to play in football. The manor has been fenced by the stone fence covered with a tile. In a fence was available three collars. All ground area from the house to a fence has been set by fruit trees. My grandfather and the father lived very richly. It they are obliged to my great-grandfather Men Ku Re. It held a post of the governor of the North Korea. A province of Phe Nan Do. It is clear that it was very influential person and all admired it. By estimations of contemporaries it was strict and fair, in this connection has got honour and respect in all social classes.

In seven months we have celebrated house warming, and on first of April at me new life has begun. I have gone to the first class. My pleasure was not a limit. I exulted. The desire to study was huge. And here, on the end I at school. In a class was fifty pupils, from them twelve girls. From the sixth class us have divided. Under laws of that time till twenty years it was forbidden to meet girls, to take alcohol, it was forbidden to smoke. Only work and study. The first period has finished well, only is «not satisfactory» on arithmetics. Has brought the sheet on progress for the signature to the father. During this first period of study nobody supervised me, and full independence has been given me. After conversation with the father I have reflected and have laid down the aim till the end of an academic year to learn arifmetics and to receive a mark not below eight-ten five points on hundred ball scale.

Teachers at school all were Japanese, and all of us have quickly learnt to write and talk on Japaneze. To pupils was not neither what pity, nor what indulgence. Running forward, I want to tell that already at mature age, communicating with Koreans, we have unanimously come to a conclusion that for thirty five years that Japan operated Korea, have not passed for nothing for Koreans. With parents and relatives

From the third class I began to study on excellent. My drawing hung at the school stand, and compositions were printed in the collection of school messages.

Japanese teachers all were strict and exacting. As now I remember their surnames: It is given To Tsineo the sensei, Pani the sensei Grazed, Jamagutchi the sensei.

At school very much the great attention was given to sports preparation, Games were arranged. Often us drove in backpackings.

Besides school I visited church. I want to tell some words about religion in our family. Mum was buddhist, the father and the big brother did not belong to any religion. They were followers Konfuciy. After the fifth class us carry on excursion to Seoul. Though I also happened there earlier to parents, but with schoolmates is more cheerful. From-for wars the trip to Tokyo is cancelled, and we go to capital of Korea.

The city is beautiful, especially in the evening. All on fires. Products and a delicacy a large quantity. Everything that is in the world, here is.
