A key point that we would like to cover in this book is really to give you insights about what is important for the decade to come: how to go ahead after an implementation of your “basic” CRM and ERP system and enhance it with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. As you will see in the next chapters, we will bring those two worlds together.

AI is everywhere now, and with the big data you'll have in those systems, it's a shame to not put intelligence behind them. Microsoft is pushing with Insight Add‐On, basically to add intelligence directly in the system with the data on it without coding everything.

AI Builder is part of the Power Platform, leveraging directly some AI model just in a few clicks for you. Dynamics 365 Finance Operations with all the modules from every process of the company will be a huge part of AI by addressing these kinds of questions: What is my cash flow forecast, if this customer will pay me on time or not? What is my demand forecast in term of supply chain? Production order? What is my churn score for those customers? This is where we need to go with a real return on investment for the top management of a company. Even Power BI and Azure Synapse Analytics and every kind of new feature in the Microsoft Cloud ecosystem are going now with some AI part and features. So, it's time to jump!
