The paper deals with the global problems of modernity (GPM) in the light of threats to the survival of mankind. As a result of the analysis, the key problem of general and complete disarmament in conjunction with the reformatting of the world consciousness is singled out from the entire super-complex system of GPM. The ways of solving these problems on the basis of the conceptual approaches of the world outlook initiative of Russia (WOIR) developed by the Foundation are also determined. An algorithm for their implementation is also proposed including through a systematic expansion of the number of actors in world politics by involving various societies in this activity, first of all a structured world civil society.
