Games with coins

Оглавление

The disappearingcoin (i)

EFFECT

A coin disappears when moving one hand over the other.

NECESSARY MATERIAL

• A coin

PERFORMANCE

The coin is held between two fingers of the left hand (fig. A). The right hand covers the left, thumb forming a hook under the coin, and the other fingers covering the action (fig. B). Hands placed in this way, rotate one inside the other. The magician acts in a way that the audience believes that the coin has been placed in his right hand but has actually dropped it in his left hand.

The two closed hands alternate. The left hand holds the coin between the middle finger, ring and little fingers and uses the index to point to the right one, which is still closed (fig. C). The right hand opens slowly and, while everyone’s attention is focused on the gesture, the currency slips on the table, into the pocket or at any other point easy to reach. A pretext to conceal the coin is pretending to search in a pocket or in the wand handkerchief, a card, or even in your own change.
