Stress
ОглавлениеNiacin is a remarkable antistress factor. Lennart Levi, M.D., Ph.D., director for Clinical Stress Research at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, found that any excitement, fear, or pleasure would release fatty acids into the blood.31 Adrenaline released fatty acids from the fat storage sites. When subjects pre-treated with niacin were exposed to identical stress, there was no increase in fatty acids. This may be how B3 is therapeutic for heart attack victims. We have observed this antistress effect on individuals over the past thirty years.
