Either way, in the UK, you must by law tell Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) that your company or organization is ‘active’ within three months of starting business activity. HMRC offer an online registration process at www.hmrc.gov.uk, where they also explain how and when to complete tax returns.
