MOBILIZATION
Hosting events, offering guest speakers, sharing updates about current projects and developments, and asking for community involvement are some ways that coalitions can mobilize and inform their community members.
A coalition is only as strong as its members and its effectiveness in the community. To ensure attendance, participation, and effectiveness, contin-ually share your goals and opportunities to engage with those in the community so that you can become a reliable first resource to them.
PUBLICITY
Share your mission and vision with your community through social media, the local newspaper, local radio stations, bill-boards, and through other mediums and venues. Build and continually foster trusted relationships with service providers, state representatives, law enforcement, and others so they can reach out to your coalition as a continual resource in times of need.
requirements of membership can be determined by the coa-lition and what is best for their community.
SUB-COMMITTEES
Sub-committees are specialized groups within your coalition that focus on one particular topic (e.g. community awareness, lobbying for reforms, or hosting events) or that focus on a particular project (e.g. writing protocols with law enforcement about how services can be provided to a rescued survivor).
