SCOTLAND

Оглавление

The foregoing applies to Scotland as well as England and Wales. The records are kept by the Registrar General of Scotland and are covered by the same £16 search fee as for General Registration records. The returns are almost identical, except that, from 1861 onwards, they state the number of rooms with one or more windows, whether people were employers and, if so, how many people they employed. The Scottish censuses are indexed online for 1841–1901 www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk. This site also includes downloadable images.
