You Are a Child of God
You are an eternal being of light and love. You are a child of God, and abundance is your inheritance. You are at a deep level one with the whole universe, and therefore everything you need already exists within you. Everything!
—Cissi Williams

Do You Know How Great You Are?
Most women secretly believe that they are “not enough.” The very opposite is true. You are way…WAY more than enough. You have more than enough to do, be, create, and have everything you desire! In order to have EVERYTHING you desire, you must shift your beliefs and begin to see yourself in a new and strong way. It’s about creating a powerful mindset shift…the first step is connecting with your Inner Goddess.

When a child is born,
At the root, is good.
Everyone’s nature is the same
But everyone experiences different things.
If there is no Way,
We will move away from our nature.
The teaching of the Way
Is valuable because it is particular to each [woman and] man.
—Thirteenth Century Southern Chinese Poem

Let Us Exult in the Sheer Delight of Being Alive
What, you ask, is the beginning of it all?
And it is this…
Existence that multiplied itself for sheer delight of being
and plunged into numberless trillions of forms
so that it might find itself innumerably.
—Sri

Still Awareness
I believe it is the most important.
It is our most unique gift. It is perhaps the greatest gift we can give.
In our language this quality is called dadirri.
It is inner, deep listening and quiet, still awareness…
When I experience dadirri,
I am made whole again.
I can sit on the river bank or walk through the trees;
even if someone close to me has passed away,
I can find my peace in this silent awareness.
There is no need of words…
It is just being aware…

and release hope into the darkness.

Have Faith in Yourself, Too
If the whole universe can be found in our own body and mind, this is where we need to make our inquiries. We all have the answers within ourselves, we just have not got in touch with them yet. The potential of finding the truth within requires faith in ourselves.
—Ayya Khema

Let Us Love One Another
Together we travel the ongoing concentric spiral
knowing that we are loving to know how loving we are.
We are loving to know how loving we are.
Knowing that we are loving.
Loving to know how.
How loving we are to know.
We are loving to know how loving we are.
—Amy Leader

Everything You Need to Know Is Inside You
The answer lies within ourselves. If we can’t find peace and happiness there, it’s not going to come from the outside.
—Tenzin Palmo

Love Holds the World Together
The Goddess falls in love with Herself, drawing forth her own emanation, which takes on a life of its own. Love of self for self is the creative force of the universe. Desire is the primal energy, and that energy is erotic: the attraction of lover to beloved, of planet to star, the lust of electron for proton. Love is the glue that holds the world together.
—Starhawk

Turning toward God Every Day
To surrender oneself is something more
than to devote oneself, more than to give oneself,
it is even more than to abandon oneself to God.
To surrender oneself is to die to everything and to self,
to keep it continually turned towards God.
Self-surrender is no longer to seek self-satisfaction in anything
but solely God’s good pleasure.
It should be added that self-surrender is to follow
that complete spirit of detachment
which holds to nothing;
neither to persons nor to things—
The whole thing consists in making a generous act
at the very beginning,
by saying with all the sincerity of your heart:
“My God, I wish to be entirely thine; deign to accept my offering”
—then all is said…
You must always remember that you have surrendered yourself.
—St. Thérèse Couderc

Life Comes at You Fast
This life you must know
as the tiny splash of a raindrop:
A thing of beauty that disappears as it comes into being.
Therefore, set your goal.
—Buddhist Prayer

Listen to the Wisdom of Your Own Heart
Turn within and seek the wisdom of your higher self. It is able to speak to us from the combined wisdom of our heart, mind, and spirit.
—Madisyn Taylor

Today Is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life
This is the beginning of a new day.
I can waste it or use it for good.
What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever,
leaving in its place something for which I have traded it.
I want it to be a gain, not a loss;
good, not evil;
success, not failure—
in order that I shall not regret the price I paid for it today.
—Author Unknown

Cover Our Earth with Flowers
Cover my earth mother four times with many flowers.
Let the heavens be covered with the banked-up clouds.
Let the earth be covered with fog;
cover the earth with rains.
Great waters, rains, cover the earth.
Lightning cover the earth.
Let thunder be heard over the earth;
let thunder be heard;
Let thunder be heard over the six regions of the earth.
—Native American Chant

Love and Miracles
Let me always insist on miracles to
celebrate love.
And when all I love on earth
lies lifeless in my arms
let me offer it to you with such freedom of heart
That I am swept up into the heavens. Amen.
—Mary Lou Kownacki

Water Is Life
We travel your powerful currents
to meet our relations.
We flood our rice fields.
We bathe our children.
We cleanse the dead.
We baptize, we purify, we do ablutions,
We immerse in the mikvah.
We heal with you—Holy Water.
We remember to protect you.
We remember to protect you.
We remember to protect you.
We remember to protect you.
—Water Protection for Women

A Message to Take to God
Saint Therese, the little flower,
Please pick me,
A rose from the heavenly garden,
And send it to me
With a message of love.
Ask God to grant me
The favor I thee implore
And tell him I will love him
Each day more and more.
—Prayer of Petition to Saint Therese of Lemieux

Believe in the Human Spirit
We pray for an end to cruelty,
whether to humans or other animals,
for an end to bullying, and torture in all its forms.
We pray that we may learn the peace that comes with forgiving
and the strength we gain in loving;
that we may learn to take nothing for granted in this life;
that we may learn to see and understand with our hearts;
that we may learn to rejoice in our being.
We pray for these things with humility;
We pray because of the hope that is within us,
and because of a faith in the ultimate triumph of the human spirit;
We pray because of our love for Creation,
and because of our trust in God.
We pray, above all, for peace throughout the world.
—Dr. Jane Goodall

We Are All One
We light the light of a new idea.
It is the light of our coming together.
It is the light of our growing;
to know new things,
to see new beauty,
to feel new love.
—Unitarian Invocation

Truth, Life, and Love
Thy kingdom come.
Let the reign of divine Truth, Life, and Love
be established in me, and
rule out of me all sin;
and may Thy Word enrich
the affections of all mankind,
and govern them!
—Mary Baker Eddy

Maiden Mother Crone
Hold thy shield over us, protect us all.
Danu beloved! Mother of the Shining Ones,
Shield, oh shield us, Lady of nobleness,
And Brigit the beauteous, shepherdess of the flocks,
Safeguard thou our animals, encircle us together,
Safeguard thou our animals, encircle us together.
And Ellen, beneficent, benign,
Governess of the trackways of power,
Invoke the star of power upon the path,
Guide thou well ourselves, shield our procession,
Guide thou well ourselves, shield our procession.
O Mother! O Maiden! O Crone of Wisdom!
Be the Triad with us day and night,
On the machair plain or on the mountain ridge,
Be the Triad with us and her cloak around us,
Be the Triad with us and her cloak around us.
—Ancient Celtic Oral Tradition

On Earth as It Is in Heaven
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done, on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen.
—Matthew 6:9–13

The Ancient Wisdom of Women
Our old women gods, we ask you!
Our old women gods, we ask you!
Then give us long life together,
May we live until our frosted hair is white;
May we live till then.
This life that now we know!
—Tewa Traditional Prayer

Learning the Art of Forgiveness
Our Father, Holy Mother,
Creator of the Cosmos, Source of Life,
You are in my mind, in my garden,
in my cup of wine and loaf of bread.
Blessed be your names:
Mother, Allah, Goddess, Beloved, Father,
Radiant One, Yahweh, HaShem, Sophia
Your presence has come, your will is done
on earth as it is in the cosmos.
May we give each other strength, mercy,
tenderness, and joy
and forgive each other’s failures,
silence, pettiness, and forgetfulness
as we ask to be forgiven
by those we’ve hurt.
Lead us home
to ourselves, to You,
to clarity, to oneness
and deliver us from the darkness
of our ignorance and fear.
So we pray and so we receive. Amen.
—Jan Phillips

Toward an Enlightened Mind
Om Mani Padme Hum
Tibetan pronunciation—Om Mani Pémé Hung
I invoke the transformation and purification of the six
negative emotions of pride, jealousy, desire,
ignorance, greed, and anger
into their true nature, enlightened mind.
—Mantra of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara
