10. VISIONS IN THE SKULL

‘I didn’t go looking for skulls,’ said Nick Nocerino. ‘I didn’t start off with any interest in skulls. They just had a habit of finding me.’

We had to admit that where crystal skulls were involved, one did seem to lead to another, as Dr Jane Walsh at the Smithsonian Institution had also noticed.

We were at Nick Nocerino’s house, drinking hot coffee which his wife Khrys had prepared for us, as she does for the many inquisitive visitors who turn up at the Nocerino home. She is used to her husband’s rather strange activities now, but when she married him 49 years ago, she didn’t know anything about his extraordinary psychic gifts. ‘He was just a regular guy,’ she says.

Today, Nick, a swarthy Italian American with an off-beat sense of humour, is considered an authority on crystal skulls and when he is not researching them, he, like Carole Wilson, often uses his psychic skills to help the local police force with murder inquiries. He said that on one investigation he knew so much about the murder, its circumstances and the whereabouts of the body that the police arrested and questioned him!
