The powerhouse of your cutting garden

Оглавление

Annuals and biennials are most likely to provide you with the main bulk of material in your cutting garden, at least to begin with until your perennials and shrubs hit their stride. They are quick to grow, cheap to buy, and prolific, and there really is one for every purpose and taste. Annuals complete their life cycle within a year, while biennials take two – forming foliage in their first year before flowering in their second. I grow all mine from seed, which opens the choice of cut flowers a thousandfold – I get to grow unusual varieties that just aren’t available to buy as plants at nurseries or garden centers.
