We thank you for your values, good humour and wit.

To cherish those special times, reveal our inner heart,

To be unafraid to show our soul, show compassion and love,

To be fair and equal, even to our own detriment.

Because of you dear Ma, we know that we can go forward with hope.

We know that we can trust to our spirit, that we can show our love without fear,

We can stand firm in the eye of the storm, can hope when all around loses it,

We can maintain our dignity, knowing that there is a greater power.

You have guided us with love, and we thank you dear Ma.

Because of you dear Ma, we are who we are; I am who I am.

Reflection reminds me with fondness, of those endless years of unbridled love,

That you gave to us, you never thought of your own welfare,

But put your self on the line for your boys.

The personal angst and hurt was hidden, the heart of a lion, the grace and demeanour,

That was humbling in your lack of selfishness,

You bequeath to us your greatest gift, how to love and be loved.
