After teaching an Interpersonal Communications class to an academy, one of the officers from that class that worked at the Oak Park Heights Prison contacted me.

This officer had two purposes. One was that he was thanking me for the "tell it like it is" training that I provided.

The other was to inform me about Boomer who was in the Oak Park Heights Prison's Medical Unit. This officer was letting me know that Boomer was doing well. He also filled me in on what Boomer said about me.

"He said you were the finest CO he has ever known. He also said you were a great man. I just thought you would like know."

It is always nice to know that some people appreciate your efforts. Working in this place, you rarely hear anything good.
