When Mr. Lane is transferred to the Paris office, the family begins packing to move overseas.

Chaos in the kitchen as Patty and Cathy try to recreate the cake Mrs. Lane baked for the church bazaar (which they ate).

Richard asks Patty to wear his ring, but Patty’s parents think she’s too young to go steady.

Because she feels taken for granted by the family, Mrs. Lane concocts a plan to call attention to herself.

Patty and Cathy attempt to resell the expensive vacuum cleaner they bought from a fast-talking door-to-door salesman.

After Patty flunks “teenage” in a magazine quiz, she enrolls in modeling school to bolster her confidence.

Patty becomes editor-in-chief of the Brooklyn Heights High Bugle and turns it into a scandal sheet.

Hoping to win a TV for their parents’ 20th wedding anniversary, Ross enters Patty in the “Beautiful Teens” contest.

Before Patty can take back a dress she can’t afford, Cathy wears it to a piano concert and accidentally spills punch on it.

Patty’s secret pen pal turns out to be her boyfriend Richard.

Patty becomes allergic to Cathy.

Patty inadvertently adopts a Korean boy named Kim.

In order to keep Richard from dropping out of school, Patty pretends to quit too, but her tactic backfires.

Patty poses as Cathy to convince a British rock star to perform at the prom.

Cathy is appointed student principal and has to discipline Patty in class. Patty gets a job at the Shake Shop.

Via flashbacks (clips from the unaired pilot), Patty and Cathy reminisce about Cathy’s arrival at the Lane household.
