After hearing my Jump Start Your Brain lecture in 2006, he realized how far he’d sunk into conformity; how he’d allowed himself to be pushed into a dull, gray, emotionally numb corner; how he’d adjusted his life to fit the day-to-day world and, finally, how he’d stopped dreaming. He told me he realized that he’d lost the fire.
