Effective PLC+ activators

1 Have high credibility with their colleagues and students

2 Can lead adults in their learning process

3 Have the ability to effectively challenge the team members, their colleagues, and themselves

4 Truly believe all students and all teachers can learn at high levels

5 Demonstrate resilience in times of challenge

What’s more important than what activators are is how they leverage that identity to accomplish the goals of the PLC+. Your actions will have a tremendous impact on your PLC+’s success and on the learning of your PLC+ team members. That will in turn impact the learning of students the team members serve. Two essential things all activators must do and do well are

 Activate collaborative maturity

 Ensure fidelity to (but not the rigidity of) the PLC+ process
