When u smile at me, I’m as helpless as a kitten in a tree

Wanting only you to come and save me

Baby, I just wanna get next to you

I am truly vexed by you

I can’t tell if it’s in your smile

Or if it’s the way you touch me

Make a thirsty man walk one hundred miles

In an arid desert where even mirages refuse to play

Could it be I am falling in love with you

You touched me in a place I never knew

Open up my eyes like a newborn child

You let me see for the first time and my first sight was you

You’re my angel and my love

I could never have dreamed of another besides you

This thing we have has got to be from heaven above

You are my Michelle Obama

My hot little number

My chérie amour

And I adore you

You are my sweet little flower

My soul d’amor

And I do not want to live without you

Like a flower out of water, I would wilt

With your touch, you give me power

You shower me with a love that I can never grasp

And never hope to ask why you love me so

So I just am content to blame it on gravity

Simply put, I am just meant to be close to you

You are my Venus

That star that guides me in the midnight sky

And on my list of joys, you are reasons number one through nine

(And number ten is to start from number one all over again)

But all we have is this instant in time

For tomorrow you might be gone

Leaving me sitting solitary and forlorn

But that doesn’t matter in the here and now

While I can hear your laughter

Feel your caress

Or hold you for just a moment and see your smile

I can’t say that I will never hurt you

Or never make you cry

I will never be unblemished

And not always avoid all lies

I know we are not perfect together

Neither are we apart

So I will not seek to hold you to a standard

That will never be our norm

I will always seek to elevate you to a place we never been before

And if you ever stumble, I hope to be the hand to catch you before you fall

Deeper than any man under God’s grace

Hold you closer than my tomorrow

And try to always kiss you like it’s the last goodbye

To look into your eyes in a way that you never have to wonder why
