School holidays are a favorite time for students. They don’t have to go to school and can relax or try new things. Most countries have school holidays in summer and winter, but some also have breaks in spring and fall.

During summer holidays, many children enjoy going to the beach, swimming, or playing sports. It’s a great time for family trips. Some families visit interesting places like museums or amusement parks. Others might go camping in nature. Summer holidays can be long, sometimes lasting for six to eight weeks.

Winter holidays are usually shorter, but they are fun too. In places with snow, children may build snowmen, go sledding, or have snowball fights. Many people celebrate Christmas or other holidays with friends and family. They may exchange gifts, sing songs, and enjoy special meals.

Spring and fall breaks, often just a week long, offer a chance to relax between school terms. Some students use this time to catch up on homework or read books. Others may play with friends or visit grandparents.

Not all children go on trips during the holidays. Some prefer to stay at home, watching movies or playing video games. Others might take part in local clubs or activities, like art classes or sports teams.

School holidays also provide an opportunity for students to pursue hobbies and interests outside of school. Today I’m going to give a talk about my school holidays.

Well, we have holidays for times a year: a week off in October, two weeks off in January, a week off in April and three months off in summer. Some schools in Russia have a week off every six weeks.

Frankly speaking, I would make spring holidays longer. First of all, because it’s almost the end of the school year and everyone is tired, so you need more time to recharge your batteries. The second reason is that I love spring. It would be great to have a few extra days to enjoy spring sunshine and nature waking up after long winter.

You know, I enjoy lots of things. It depends on the weather, of course. In summer I love cycling, walking with friends, playing basketball. In winter I enjoy skiing and skating. If I am at home, I like playing computer games, reading, watching movies.

Sure thing, my attitude to school holiday is good. It’s a great opportunity to hang out with friends, enjoy your hobbies and catch up on sleep.
