The hydrogen bonding capacity of a drug molecule can be calculated based on its chemical structure. Much of biopharmaceutics is related to aqueous media where hydrogen bonding is a significant factor in aqueous solubility. Thus hydrogen bonds are important for biopharmaceutics.
