Shape selection
ОглавлениеSelection of guide catheter shape is critical to allow positioning of the catheter coaxially with the proximal segment of the artery, to reduce the risk of catheter‐induced vessel trauma, and optimize support during intervention. When selecting the shape of the catheter, the following factors should be considered: the curve and fit of the diagnostic catheter; size of the aortic root; origin and take off of the artery; location and complexity of the lesion; and the devices likely to be utilized during intervention.
