The town of Laingford is loosely based on the Ontario town of Huntsville. Huntsville has a wonderful Pioneer Village, but the one in this book is fictional. If you visit the real one, you won’t find any of the book characters there, because they’re made up—but you’ll have a great time, guaranteed.
