Poor perseverance

Оглавление

ADHD sufferers have the energy to take on many, many things. But on the whole, they lack the discipline and perseverance to complete tasks. In the work environment it is usually a good idea to appoint such people as initiators, allowing others to pick up and implement their often very creative ideas.

They approach new projects, games or tasks eagerly and energetically, but their interest tends to wane as soon as it is no longer a challenge, or if it becomes boring and tedious. This poor perseverance ties in with a limited sense of responsibility and the avoidance of effort. It is important for these characteristics to be addressed in the home from an early age. For example, the child ought to have certain chores that must be performed every day. It is also important that the child learns by example to complete tasks.
