ОглавлениеCanoe
Cutting through the cool, smooth waters of a northern lake, almost silently; the only sound is the slight splash of the oars. Around the next bend you might spot a butterfly, a loon, or even a moose. In a canoe you can see many special places that you could not reach otherwise. This canoe features a fully three-dimensional, sculptural design, and even has a little bench.
Recommended paper: 6" square or larger. This model works well with a variety of papers including typical origami paper. For thicker papers you may wish to wet-fold the crimps in step 13.
Begin with a square, white side up.
1. Fold and unfold the diagonals. Turn the model over.
2. Fold two opposite corners to the center. Turn the model over.
3. Fold two opposite edges to the center.
4. Rabbit ear the two corner flaps.
5. Squash fold the two tabs to form the bench.
6. Fold the two edges under, locking the tabs together.
7. Fold the edges to the center through all layers and unfold.
8. Fold the model in half.
9. Make reverse folds. Rotate the model clockwise slightly.
10. Reverse fold the tip of the near flap on the left.
11. Valley fold the remaining tip into the pocket created in step 10.
12. Repeat steps 10 - 11 on the right.
13. Tuck in the tips.
14. Open the model to make it three-dimensional. Crimp the notches to shape the hull. Repeat behind.
