Things start off slowly this year. Until March 12, your aspects are so-so. Nothing especially great, nothing terrible. The real action begins March 12, as your career planet moves into Aries in your 12th house. Shortly after that, on June 4, Jupiter moves into your own sign. This will initiate prosperity that will continue into 2012 as well.

So be patient, do what needs to be done and don’t worry. The year starts with a whimper but ends with a bang.

When Jupiter moves into someone’s sign, it is an indicator of the good life. This is a time for the high lifestyle – good restaurants, gourmet food, travel, nice clothing and accessories. It is a time for realizing many of your constructive ‘fleshly fantasies’.

The universe is a ‘desire-fulfilment mechanism’. Its whole purpose is to manifest a person’s desires. If certain desires can’t be fulfilled in one life, the person will come back and fulfil them in another. All desires can’t be fulfilled at once, so the powers of the zodiac regulate these things. So, when Jupiter moves into your 1st house, many desires of the flesh get fulfilled.

Jupiter’s move into your 1st house has other messages, too. Since it rules your 8th house it shows that borrowing opportunities are coming. Those of you who want to pay off or refinance debt will have the opportunity to do so. Investors – for those of you who are seeking them – will come looking for you. This transit also shows alimony payments (for those where this applies), insurance and royalty payments and, in many cases, an inheritance. (Keep in mind that no one need actually die: you could be the recipient of a trust fund, or be named in someone’s will, or otherwise benefit from a death.)

With the lord of the 8th house so prominent in your chart, it is very easy to incur debt. The challenge is to be responsible about this. If debt is abused this year, there is a real danger of bankruptcy or foreclosure. If you are responsible in your finances, you need not fear.

We see many career changes happening this year – you had a foretaste last year, but now the Uranus move into Aries is full blown. First off, this suggests great independence in your career. You want to be in control of your own destiny. Many of you will be offered opportunities at better companies, with a higher salary and higher status – more authority and responsibility. This could have happened last year, but is also likely early this year.

Neptune, the most spiritual of all the planets, has been in your 10th house for many years. This indicates someone who fosters the career through involvement with charities and altruistic causes. This trend continues in the year ahead. (Neptune moves out of your 10th house, but your career planet moves into the spiritual 12th house.) In many cases this shows an actual spiritual-type career – being an executive or employee of a charity or charitable organization, being in the ministry, or some other spiritual endeavour.

Those of you who employ others probably need to cut back on staff. Focus on quality. Fewer workers who are good are preferable to a bloated staff of mediocre people.

There are two eclipses in your money house this year. This shows important financial changes and shifts in strategy. My feeling is that you have been too pessimistic – things are better than they seem, and the eclipses will show you this.
