Emotion:

Humans and Emotions are feelings, sentiment, reaction, passion, excitement, and sensation. In every activity that every human must endure, we are constantly dealing with humans and emotions, how we treat others, how we negotiate with others, how we interact with others, and how we love others, how we learn, and listen to others.

Our entire human mind, body, eyes, and ears relate to our emotions, seeing, hearing and agreeing, or disagreeing are all constantly our human efforts to make connections to every human emotion and ability to react to every situation. Human interaction can build our emotions into positive strengths and more confident individuals, depending on what we allow our hearing, thoughts, and mindset to lead us into. It can lead an individual to be withdrawal from positive strength or into a negative emotion of hatred, pain, and suffering.

Honestly writing these emotional experiences with the bible and human emotion has encouraged me to see my emotion through the Bible's perspective. Indeed it has helped and strengthens me to refocus from current emotional problems encountered in life and learning to trust more and more with the Lord to help me.

The following studies are based on biblical principles and scriptures that relate to our human emotional experiences and struggles, for all have encountered many emotional struggles whether with our Christian faith or non-Christians. Our daily individual and psychological struggles depend on our emotion on how to manage our problems, for my sake, I trust more with the help of the creator God. No doubt that these bible studies relate to psychological issues with the world systems of psychological matters. These studies are based on personal Christian faith with God and his son Christ alone.

My views are from the perspective views of “The Bible’s Humans and Emotions” How I sought the Lord's strength may not be the same as how others go through with their emotion, but I trust that we can relate to each other with every positive attitude for our betterment. It’s truly is an amazing love of Gods’ The Holy Spirit and the power working through me has helped me along my journey of life and struggles with every hardship in my emotional journey. I have chosen the part of thinking and moving forward to focus and keep on keeping on the positive direction towards another day, week, month, and years into the future.

From my personal experience journey, did I sought and seek help for counseling with other professionals and sources here in Australia? Yes, I did try! But there are rulers and authorities and controlling powers beyond my capabilities. There are many helpers out there but not for me yet; it was a matter and case to bring it before the throne of grace and mercy of Jehovah, it’s about faith and believing in the unseen always trusting God as my Savior.

Recalling back, I remember one day a pastor’s wife from the Four Square Church in Geraldton called me at home and made an appointment for her and other sisters from her church to come by and visit me at home, she also came with a bottle of (anointing oil) the olive oil that they have prayed over it and ask the Lord to bless it for anointing and blessings, etc.

We listened as she shares some scriptures about anointing oil and then at the end of her sharing we all agreed and prayed together, then she anointed my forehead with the anointing oil. May the LORD bless them.

After the anointing oil experience in 2012, I attended a Christian conference gathering at the Holiday Inn in Perth. And then after that, I fasted for nearly one month; all I had was cabbage soup at night, I couldn’t believe it that, I had that strength and will power to fast for that long, it wasn’t in my natural ways to do that, the fasting was to breakthrough in all areas of my walk with the LORD.

Everything was now in position at our new place and all was organizing with the house. I had nothing else to do; every time I look around me I see trails of my beloved daughter and it was so much to bear, I decided to do something else to replace my hurt into something good. I had the choice of whether to sleep away with my pains in bed or sit up and do the Bible study with “Bible and human emotion. I honestly could have been so depressed and in bed, but I chose to listen to God’s Spirit and do what the LORD wants me to do by studying and learning from the magazine “Bible and Human Emotion. I took the magazine out “Jesus Wept” and started the following bible study again and onto my computer. Writing all my notes down into this book. But then the writer has to come to a stop since we had to move again from Geraldton to Gold Coast in 2014.

After settling down in the Gold Coast, searching through my computer notes and realized that I had never get to complete the beginning of my studies. I discovered that from lesson one to lesson four-study reference was misplaced or erased from my computer since 2011. But nothing is going to stop me from studying the emotional journeys of the faithful men and women in bible times.

I also realize that I’ve misplaced the study book. I have been searching for it for the past few years and wondered how was I supposed to finish this bible lesson. Then finally we moved out from Pacific Pines to Arundel in 2017, that’s when I fumble across the magazine again “Jesus Wept” I thought’’ Well’ this it, I've got finish these studies! Welcome back! Everything has a beginning, so I must get to the beginning and complete this important part of my study lessons. Alone this personal study, I kept losing few pages on my computer, and had to redo it all over again, and again, it’s a small study book but it took me years and years to complete it. I thought to myself this is my commitment; I had to persevere and complete it. The facts of the matter that I love bible studies and it is a true book all over the world and studied by many in many different languages in the world, so as it is very important for the mind, soul, and spiritual gain.

Jesus Wept: The gospel writers’ record two occasions on which Jesus wept, Jesus sorrow came from a deep feeling for others, Isaiah, 53, Confirms that Jesus was a man of sorrow. Jesus gave way to tears. At that, the Jews began to say: “See what affection he had for him!” John 11:35, Jesus the man of sorrow, a man of compassion and man of God, the Prince of Peace, the Son of God, Jesus would weep with his people. When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews who had come with her weeping, he groaned within himself and become troubled. In verse 33, when Jesus saw her weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. This bible verse is very meaningful to our emotions to see how Jesus can relate to his people weeping and wailing. When he saw them weeping and wailing Jesus too wept openly. Jesus the Son of God shows us that he cared enough for them to weep with humans in their time of sorrow. These help us to see it in God’s perspective that in times of emotional changes, Gods’ Son Jesus Christ was a perfect example to reflect on our life as our savior and our emotional strength. The Spirit of God was with him and with us to bear and wept with us and others with the love and divine strength to uphold us with His righteous right hand. With every human emotion, we express compassion in many ways like Jesus expressing his compassion. One thing is to feel compassionate most people do that but it’s another to express it by concrete deeds. Showing compassion towards others who are hurting is to show them, love, through words and actions. Sadness, pain, and sorrow are not wrong, these are not sinful or lack of faith or trust, every human response to life’s turmoil in with every emotion, after all, Jesus himself responded with emotions.

If we look around us the world's existence of sinful reaction and emotion, the emotion would often bring us great pain and suffering. What kind of an image, if a person who wouldn’t care to show kindness, love, compassion, sympathy, fear, or sorrow and emotional support? Only someone alive but dead to the living almighty God.

The bible mentions that Jesus is the image of God in him. God is Love, kind, compassionate, and forgiving. Jesus saw insensibility of heart: “After looking around at them with indignation being thoroughly grieved at the insensibility of their hearts, he said to the man: “Stretch out your hand,” And he stretched it out and his hand was restored. Mark. 3. 5. Jesus was sorrowful:

“He said to them: “I am deeply grieved even to death. Stay here and keep on the watch.” Mark. 14. 34.Even before Jesus came to earth the prophet Isaiah describes him and prophecies about Jesus: “He was despised and was avoided by men, a man who was meant for pains and was familiar with sickness. It was as if his face were hidden from us. He was despised, and we held him as of no account. Truly he carried our sicknesses, and he bore our pains. But we considered him as plagued, stricken by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgression: He was crushed for our errors. He bore the punishment for our peace, and because of his wounds, we were healed. Isaiah. 53. 3-5.

Jesus was not a cruel man; a harsh man, uncaring, ignorant, arrogant, or proud, even others might say he was weak; he was human as any human. Jesus was kind, loving, caring, and gentle in spirit; he is comforting, and understanding to all our problems that we face through every experience as humans on earth. That is how we must know that God is full of love and compassion; Jesus was the image of God, showing the love of God to all who were suffering in sickness and death.

Death was not God’s original purpose or plan for all mankind. Death came through Adam, why did death come through Adam? He was warned but he ignored to listen. He got carried away with what he saw and his emotion carried him away from the truth. Hebrew expresses the incredible truth about our Lord Jesus Christ: “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathies with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tested in all respects as we have but without sin.” Hebrew, 4.15,

We are today thousands of years from the tree of life: We are damaged goods and contrary to the myths of evolution. We are getting worse. Let’s refer to Genesis. “Thus, Jehovah God made to grow out of the ground every tree that was pleasing to look at and good for food and the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and bad. Genesis, 2,9, Sin has taken its toll on our emotions and they control our moods to swing to whomever, however, and whatever we choose to be in our life emotions to be taken better of us for comfort's sake or out of control.

Emotions are also chemical imbalance and may cause physical and phycology problems, and may need professional help. But for God-fearing people knowing the truth about our loving Jehovah gives us hope through our Lord Jesus Christ: Even though we mess our day up or do the wrong things or say the wrong words! Instead of being in control of our emotions, our emotions control us. The bible tells us to “Love never fails. But there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with.” 1. Corinthians. 13.8. Swearing, bad-mouthing of other tongues will be done away with. Truly emotions are a vital part of human personality. They can be powerful motivators both good and evil. Reading, from 2, Samuel, 13, 1,

Emotion and behavior are not clear direct part, for some painful, emotion may bring us closer to God in repentance, and or others may give up faith in God because of struggles in life becoming too emotional and painful to deal with.

Let’s read on how Jesus glimpse the future: while walking down the Mount of Olives and the whole multitude of people and his disciples began to rejoice’ but Jesus had an emotional moment at that very present moment:

“And when he got nearby, he viewed the city and wept over it, saying: “If you even you had discerned on this day the things having to do with peace but now they have been hidden from your eyes. Because the days will come upon you when your enemies will build around you and fortification of pointed stakes and will encircle you and besiege you from every side. They will dash you and your children within you to the ground, and they will not leave a stone upon a stone in you because you did not discern the time of your being inspected.” Luke. 19: 41-44. How Jesus was looking into the future and he was so emotional about his people and the city.

Faithful Man and woman of God in bible days and even in our days of times or seasons of life, all must deal with emotion. We need Godly wisdom and Devine intervention of the Holy Spirit. We need to be humble, quiet and listened to family, friends, churches, and other welfare sources to turn to for healings, strength, and relief from emotional experiences and anxiety.

Our human emotions are not 100% perfect we can have all emotion in our lives at any one time of our lives. But best we must learn to make wise choices for our daily emotion in a wise possible option. Best healing for our emotion and relationship are associated with the good fruit of love, joy, peace, kindness, patient and long-suffering, bear in mind that long-suffering is all so a good part of life for us to consider alternative part ways and plan to strive for a better option or solution, there is no shortcut to long-suffering but draw that positive strength and energy to put complete trust first of all within yourself the creator, who knows that you can handle your sufferings and most of all imitate the example of Jesus suffering and his love, kindness and obedient to the point of death.

Jesus said just believe the LORD; for strength and your abilities to cooperate and distinguish what is bad and have good thoughts for your mind and bear with all the goodness and godly wisdom to work through life into positive human efforts, GOD is our strength and our savior to bear with the fruit of his Holy Spirit in us through his power.

Further reading from Jesus' words saying: Most truly I say to you, you will weep and wail, but the world will rejoice; you will be grieved, but your grief will be turned into joy. When a woman is giving birth, she has grief because her hour has come, but when she has given birth to the child, she remembers the tribulation no more because of the joy that a man has been born into the world. So, you also, now you have grief; but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. On that day you will ask me no question at all. Most truly I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything, he will give it to you in my name. Until now you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. John. 16. 20-24.

Negative Emotion:

How do we deal with experiences of hatred, sadness, fear, rage, or jealousy? And what do we wish to have done differently? We can look at the Bible's perspective views of some of the emotions faced by God’s people, for example, A negative emotion reading from, 2. Samuel. 13.

Firstly “Ammon” is an emotional extreme with an uncontrolled passion of love turned into hatred, hate with intense hatred. Tamar said: How could I live down my shame? And you will be regarded as one of the disgraceful men in Israel. Now speak, please, to the king, for he will not withhold me from you.” But he refused to listen to her, and he overpowered her and humiliated her by raping her.

Secondly “Tamar” was truly the victim of a woman who suffered rape and abuse. She has low self-esteem; she was angry and bitter, humiliated, and used.

Thirdly “David” experienced anger and grief over these events. Finally, “Absalom” did not offer much relief, instead, his rage of anger devised a plan to killing “Ammon” to avenge his sister’s rape, and so he would have his chances of sitting on the throne of Israel.

We may face many bad experiences to do with negative emotions in life such as hatred, sadness, fear, rage, or jealousy. In Tamar’s case sometimes, a negative impact of emotion will have its consequences of negative reaction.

Positive Emotion:

Praise to our loving father for all positive and emotional strength in his spirit. It is truly a gift given and deposited into each and everyone in our lifetime. Truly and honestly writing if we allow our emotion to take control of whatever it is that we believe that it will work then it will be. If I put all my faith and trust in God to be in control to help and lead and guide me, sure enough, he will surely do. Every human life journey we will always be dealing with every human emotion and anxiety. We are to cling to what is good and refuse things that are not good to feed on our minds, body soul, and emotion.

We need to read, pray, eat, rest, and involve in social activities and importantly to trust God for peace, love, and unity. It's a choice to be obedient to God and to do good to others in line with God’s Holy Spirit and power that he is helping us. “Based on the scripture the fruitage of God’s Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control. Against such things, there is no law. Galatians, 5, 22, accordingly, as God’s chosen ones, holy and loved, clothe yourself with the tender affections of compassion, kindness, humility, mildness, and patience. Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely even if anyone has a cause for complaint against another. Just as Jehovah freely forgave you, you must also do the same. But besides all these things, clothe your selves with love for it is a perfect bond of union. Colossians. 3. 12-14.

What has been your own experience with how your emotional states impact your actions? Negative emotional states, such as hatred, worry, fear, rage, and jealousy, produce immediate physiological responses: for example; the immediate reaction of talking back, punch in the face, tense muscles, cold sweet, butterflies in the stomach, terminating an unplanned pregnancy and other physical manifestations.

It is very important not to make important decisions amid a flurry of emotions, be they positive or negative. But to be on the positive emotion: On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control. Against such things, there is no law. Galatians, 5, 22, where there is a positive impact in life there is no law against such action. On the other hand, a negative emotional response must deal with the law against its action. Positive psychology a newly developed and widely accepted branch of psychology, should be a mission and aim to promote it and educate the minds of many into positive thinking and action to help bring order to happiness in our society. “Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely even if anyone has a cause for complaint against another.” Colossians, 3, 13, Love is more than an emotion; it is still the supreme emotion. God is love, and it is his plan for his children to experience love for others and from others.

Jesus Emotional Manifestations: (1.)

So, he summoned the disciples and said to them: “I feel pity for the crowd because they have already stayed with me for three days and they have nothing to eat. If I send them off to their homes hungry, they will give out on the road, and some of them are from far away. Mark 8. 1-3.

Compassion was the motivator that led Jesus to devise a plan for feeding the multitude. He thought of the practical needs of the people who had eaten or nothing at all for those three days. Jesus observed the crowd and had compassion for their needs in the physical and spiritual side of humans' needs to meet.

In another act of compassion “There also came to him a leper, pleading with him even on bended knee, saying to him: “If you just want to, you can make me clean.” At that, he was moved with pity and he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him: “I want to! Be made clean. Immediately leprosy vanished from him and he became clean.” Mark. 1:40-43, those days’ lepers were often treated with disdain.

Leprosy was a condition that would produce more terror then pity any human lives. Yet Jesus felt compassion for leprosy ill people, he touches them and felt pity for them, not only when people lacked the basic physical necessities but also when they were without leadership direction or aims.

He also feels their deep spiritual needs as well as physical needs, again Jesus would proceed to teach them about the kingdom of God. Even his disciples, they couldn’t deal with large followers of people they came up to him and said: This place is isolated, and the hour is already late. Send them away so that they may go off into the surrounding countryside and villages and by themselves something to eat. He replied to them: “You give them something to eat. Mark. 6. 34-36.

Later, Jesus also demonstrates another act of compassion towards a little child. “Then he took a young child and stood him in their midst; and putting his arms around him, he said to them: “Whoever receives one of such young children based on my name receives me also, and whoever receives me receives not me only but also Him who sent me.” Mark. 9: 36. Jesus emphasized physical touch. He held children in his arm and showed love and affection for them. He would reach out and touched sick and suffering people to communicate divine healing power over them. In another encounter with the rich young ruler’ Jesus love him even though the young rich man did not follow the master’s direction. “Jesus looked at him and felt love for him and said, “One thing is missing about you: Go, sell what things you have and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven: and come be my follower.” But he grew sad at the answer and went away grieved, for he had many possessions. Mark. 10:21-22.

Jesus Emotional Manifestations: (2) Let’s view the bible perspective of Jesus walking down the Mount of Olives and the whole multitude of people and his disciples began to rejoice’ but Jesus had an emotional moment at that present time: “And when he got nearby, he viewed the city and wept over it, saying: “If you even you had discerned on this day the things having to do with peace but now they have been hidden from your eyes. Because the days will come upon you when your enemies will build around you and fortification of pointed stakes and will encircle you and besiege you from every side. They will dash you and your children within you to the ground, and they will not leave a stone upon a stone in you because you did not discern the time of your being inspected.” Luke. 19. 41-44.

And taking along Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to feel grieved and was troubled. Matthew. 26. 37. After looking around at them with indignation being thoroughly grieved at the insensibility of their hearts he said to the man: “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out and his hand was restored. Mark. 3. 5. So, he sighed deeply in his spirit and said: “Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly I say no sign will be given to this generation. Mark. 8. 12.

When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews who had come with her weeping he groaned within himself and become troubled. John. 11. 33. Then Jesus after groaning again within himself came to the tomb. It was a cave and a stone was lying against it. John. 11. 38.

They now came to Jerusalem. There he entered the temple and started to throw out those selling and buying in the temple and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the benches of those selling doves, and he would not let anyone carry a utensil through the temple. Mark 11: 15.

Jesus had an emotional rage of anger for doing the wrong things at the temple. Temples are not places to sell goods for material gain. He was angry for the right reason and that the temple was meant to be a temple of worship. Contemplating the emotional experiences of Jesus can help us understand how much he can relate to our emotional turmoil. “ For we do not have high priests who cannot sympathies with our weaknesses but we have one who has been tested in all respects, as we have but without sin, Hebrews. 4. 15. In times of our emotional suffering, our Lord will give us time to come to terms with all our emotional grief, and through his Holy Spirit and words, he will pull us through. We should have spent time with him in prayer, reading his words of encouragement to give us insight into a positive strength.

God’s Plan for Painful- “Emotion:”

The world seems full of joy. Not for all and even Godly and Christ believers we strive and hope for the best with one another or with the LORD and Christ Jesus as our source of faith and hope. We see the unfairness of the rich and powerful people who are enjoying every wicked deed they do, and amid all course.

God also intervene and put some rich and powerful people to fight the wicked ruler. Besides rich and powerful people appearances often are deceiving. We tend to think they are living a good happy and successful life than those of us living a low life or grassroots class, we may think that we are not successful and happy; the rich are the ones we should be looking up to but honestly, it may not be it. Wherever we are we must make use of the best of it, be the high or low life we must strive to make it even in life and leave another day.

Jesus said: Most truly I say to you, you will weep and wail, but the world will rejoice; you will be grieved but your grief will be turned into joy. When a woman is giving birth, she has grief because her hour has come but when she has given birth to the child she remembers the tribulation no more, because of the joy that a man has been born into the world. So, you also now you have grief: but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will question at all.

Most truly I say to you if you ask the Father for anything, he will give it to you in my name. Until now you have not asked for a single thing in my name. Ask and you will receive so that your joy may be complete. John. 16.20-24. What Jesus meant was that every grief and sorrow will pass away, and joy will come, therefore you should know that your sorrow and grief will not only pass away in time, but it will give way to joy. You shouldn’t hold on to grief and sorrow and depression of life for, so long.

Jesus was going to be crucified and nailed on the stake and he knows the pain of losing a loved one and someone closer to them. At the end of his conversation, he reaffirms them to ask for help by praying to the father, so that their joy may be complete. In other words, allow enough time for your grief and sorrow to pass away, and it’s okay to reflect with wishful thoughts and remembrance; but don’t hold on to painful hurts for too long, it has a side effect of reactions, attitudes or behavioral impact; or it could become the psychotherapists work to painstakingly remove the effects of the past pain. Jesus is saying:

For instance, if asking in Jesus' name for peace, joy, and strength, no one will take his promise of peace, love, joy, and strength away from you that is a promise. Jesus reaffirming, and instructing his promising words has helped me a lot in my journey.

Now and then, I would come across those painful moments or seasons of life, losing a loved one and close family and friends. I allow the adversaries of life’s moment to pass by me, it may take days, weeks, or months and then I pray LORD’ help me with your strength and love to carry on in Jesus Christ's name.

When we are in that season of adversaries everything stops your normal daily routine or schedules changes, bible reading, praying and going to church or other social activities becomes weak, your family and friends will be there to carry you through but only for a short time, they will by now all move on with their lifestyles and responsibilities, so as individuals we must pick up from where we left off with our normal daily routine. Through all our negative emotions God will compensate us with positive emotion for our grief to change into rejoicing.

The mixed emotional experience of Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, who went to the tomb of Jesus with grief and sorrowful emotion, but what happens next in the tomb brought fear and confusion but in the end, they joyfully ran outside.

The Angel of the Lord meat them and said to them; do not be afraid! With that their reaction as follows: “So quickly leaving the memorial tomb, with delightfulness and great joy, they ran to report to his disciples. Matthew. 28. 8. Firstly, they were walking with sorrow and sadness because going to a tomb is not a happy moment. Secondly, they were afraid because they thought they saw a ghost, imagine after death their reaction was fear, thirdly after the Angel spoke to them they ran out with joy, that Jesus is alive as said he would be. Read another example of how the LORD turns sadness into Joy.

The Jewish communities celebrating Purim: To commemorate and remember the time of sorrow turned into joy: “Because on those days the Jews rested from their enemies, but their grief was changed to rejoicing and their mourning to a day of celebration. They were to observe them as days of feasting and rejoicing and as a time to send portions of food to one another and gifts to the poor.” Esther. 9. 22.
