CHAPTER FOUR Jesus Christ the Son of God:
ОглавлениеDuring our discussion, I was asked to explain to them what I know about who Jesus Christ. I said Jesus is the Son of God and he is God. The instructors in our meeting said yes, that’s right he is the Son of God: The son of man Joseph. But wrong he is not God' YHWH: yes he was god here on earth and treated with respect by his followers because he was a good leader and lord but he is God's Messiah and prophet God sent him on a mission to fulfill God's will. He and his heavenly father are two but one in Spirit and power, his father sent him to earth and he agreed and obeyed to do his father will to the point of death itself. But! I wanted to explain John 1:1, and they explain it again very clearly, that in the beginning, Jesus was with God, God created the angles first in heaven and the very first angles were the firstborn Son in Heaven after the creation of the earth he made the first man and woman on earth Adam and Eve. When God spoke the words in his power and spirit takes place and everything came into existence, then again, I asked them but how comes Jesus did so many miracles? They said Yes; after his anointing of water baptizing the power descended on him remember the Dove the Spirit of God? The Dove is not a person it's God's active power and spirit appearing like a Dove in a vision. God spoke from the heavens and said this my beloved son! They again ask me a question how can God be in heaven and speaking from heaven and God is baptizing at the same time? Can you see the difference here? Right! Right! It was now making a lot of sense to me, I get it now it's clear. They said when he raised Lazarus from the dead, he Jesus looked up to the heavens to his father and asked permission from his father in heaven to raise Lazarus; can you see the two; Father and Son, working and agreeing together in one powerful spirit? Okay! Now that makes sense to me, that Jesus Christ is God’s Son, the son of men, Joseph, to be more specific “Jesus is in Greek called Joshua’ meaning the LORD Saves. Matthew. 1: 21. That is what Jesus means and his purpose was to save many nations (people) into everlasting life in God’s kingdom. To do his father's will for God’s kingdom and righteousness.
God has a plan for a Saviour to come to earth: Prophet Isaiah’s prophetic vision “A young woman will become pregnant and will give birth to a son, and she will name him Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14, Immanuel meaning “God is with us through his Son our savior.” Jehovah’s angel appeared to Joseph, Mary’s husband to be in a dream, saying: “Look the virgin will become pregnant and will give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel,” which means, when translated, “With us is God.” Matthew. 1: 23. NWT. The bible also describes Jesus as the Lamb of God. John. 1: 34. Jesus is the Son of God. John. 1:34. His role is to be the loving Son to his Heavenly Father and savior to the world, in obedience to Jehovah God, and do his Father's will. He has been given the role to save the earth from wickedness or misery and from sins' leading people back to life an everlasting life with God. Sin and disobedience separate man from our loving creator Father. That means that through all our trials and tribulation we look to Jesus and believe the great promises that are yet to be fulfilled when Christ returns, in the spiritual realm to restore all humans on earth for his heavenly Kingdom.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God: For all Christians, it is not a confusing statement about who Jesus Christ is. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Lord of all Lords and the king of all kings. He is the savior for all believers in God through Christ Jesus, only Jesus will lead us towards the eternal life Jehovah our God. Jesus prayed this prayer, “This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. John. 17: 3.NWT. Jesus is “More than that when he came as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, yes, death on a torture stake. Philippians. 2: 8. NWT. When the first missionaries landed at my father’s village in PNG. The native people have no idea about Jews laws, some bible writers called us the gentiles and we have no idea of observing the Ten Commandments laws. Thanks to Jehovah we are saved through Jesus Christ and his death means so much to us. The early missionaries brought the light of Jehovah God and Jesus Christ to shine upon the people that Christianity is now in their midst, the people begin to see God’s love for them, through Jesus Christ the savior of light leading them to everlasting God. This is a prophetic message from Jesus himself in John, 17: 3. Again Jesus said to him (Thomas): “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John, 14: 6. Indeed it was through Jesus Christ we all came to know the truth about the one true God. All Christians are still learning about Jesus and his prophetic messages. Another prophetic words from Isaiah “The people who were walking in the darkness have seen a great light. As for those dwelling in the land of deep shadow, Light has shone on them. Isaiah. 9: 2.NWT. Jesus is the Promised Messiah: Hebrew and Greek word messiah both mean “Anointed One.
The Messiah: The Bible foretold the coming of the one whom God would send as the Messiah or Christ. Consider the example of the prophecies that were to be fulfilled over 700 years in advance. Prophet Micah foretold that the promised one would be born in Bethlehem, a small town in the land of Judah. God’s people were expecting this promise to be fulfilled and it came to pass. “After Jesus had been born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king,” Matthew, 2: 1.NWT. “And you, O Bethlehem Ephrata, the one too little to be among the thousands of Judah, from you will come out for me the one to be ruler in Israel, whose origin is from ancient times, from the days of long ago.” Micah. 5: 2.NWT. Many centuries in advance, the prophecy recorded in Daniel who pinpoints the time when Jesus would be anointed, or appointed, as the Messiah. “You should know and understand that from the issuing of the word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Leader, there will be seven weeks, also 62 weeks. She will be restored and rebuilt, with a public square and moat, but in times of distress.” 9: 25.NWT. Daniel had indicated how long the period leading to the arrival of Messiah the Leader. This concept of weeks of years, or seven-years, units, was familiar to Jews of ancient times. For instance, they observed a Sabbath year every seventh year. Exod.23: 10-11. Therefore, the prophetic 69 weeks amount to 69 units of 7 years each, or a total of 483 years. Jesus was 29 years when he had his water baptism and was anointed with the power of the Holy Spirit. John also identified Jesus as the messiah during his water baptism (Messiah arrives), He John also bore witness, saying; I viewed the spirit coming down as a dove out of heaven, and it remained upon him. John. 1: 33. Jesus was at the age of 33 years the Messiah’s ministry was cut off. The prophet's word of Daniel was fulfilled. Prophet Isaiah also prophesied about the savior’s birth and how he was to be treated on the day of his cut off. Isaiah prophesied quote “Look! I made him a witness to the nations, a leader and commander to the nations. Isaiah, 55: 4.NWT, other example readings from Isaiah 42: 1-25. Relates to all the other Bible prophecies confirming Jesus as the chosen one.
The accurate indication of Christ: The Bible indicates the coming of Jesus Christ the Messiah and accurate location of his birth and death information were foretold. Jesus did not just happen to come out from somewhere and said follow me’ I’ am the Son of God. Everything he did was foretold long before he came to earth born into this earthly system of birth. Even during Christ's ministry time, most people still did not believe that he was the messiah, many other believers have already expected the messiah to come and when they had found out about Jesus and his teachings they knew that he was the messiah, they were excited and telling others about the messiah Christ who was with them. Daniel also prophesied that they will cut off his ministry here on earth. According to God’s plan and purpose and how it meant to be as how GOD intended it to be. God's plans and purpose started from the time of the first Adam mistake. God had it in his mind on what to do, and how he foretold his plans through his prophets, from different times and locations through the bible writers for his purpose and his will to be as accurately falling into his plans.
The Promised Messiah - Jesus Christ is the Son of God: With this point, if we truly read the New Testament we will understand that Jesus never said he was God. He would refer to God as his father in heaven, he did not mention that he was God, but he was followed and look up to as the lord and master or teacher of the law, even in those days people would ask him where ever he goes, but then again; Jesus would ask them again who do they think I' am?. By asking them this question again because he wanted to make sure that they know and understood who he was. Jesus wanted us to know he is and what is yet to come that he is “Christ the Messiah” the “Son of God”. The bible tells us that there is only “One God” and God alone the everlasting God. Can we see clearly’ who Jesus is and why he came to this earth? This is truly important for us to know the truth about Jesus Christ and his role as the King of righteousness. We all know that GOD is Spirit and powerful and he will do what he will do, GOD sent his son to come down to earth to die for the world once and for all, to buy us back to God. Now understand that God never dies, and his Spirit and power will always exist from before the creation of the world and now and forever and ever and evermore. Just think if God died on the stake with those two thieves’ than God is dead finish no more God! But GOD existed even before the creation of the world. Jehovah God is alive and living and existing in Spirit and Power. The Almighty God has planed it and so he raised his Son Jesus back to life. According to his plan and purpose through his Son, to do his father's will. When Jesus was hanging on the stake with so much pain he cried out and said “My GOD, My GOD, why have you forsaken me? He cried to his Aba his father and his GOD.
Does this mean that I am an antichrist no way! This word antichrist is for people who are doing things against what Jesus would have done out of God's love towards others, in compassion, truth, and righteousness. I believe in Jesus Christ the way, the truth, and the life leading us to our everlasting Jehovah God, Jesus Christ is the Son of the highest living God. He was with God even before the creation of the world. The heavenly angels are God’s Sons and they were created before the world was made they were with God, as well as his only begotten son Jesus Christ, who was beside God. God sent him to earth because he knows that he is his obedient Son to fulfill his word spoken throughout the bible. Don’t get me wrong here, but let the Holy Spirit of God teach us and correct us. We are to worship Jehovah LORD our Father in heaven and give him all our praises and thanksgiving. Remember the prayer Jesus thought in Matthew 6: 9, Jesus said this, then, how you should pray, "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, yours will be done on earth as it is in heaven, we are not praying to Jesus Christ here but direct our prayers to God our Father in heaven. Jesus also thought us that when we pray we ask his father in heaven for anything in Jesus name the name of “Jesus Christ” at the end of our prayer, petition, or request. He showed us a prayer sample to pray to our father in heaven. Tell me how many of us have been praying to Jesus to help us, and then we end our prayers in Jesus' name? Jesus did not miss a prayer point here he lovingly thought us how to pray to our father in heaven. Matthew 6:9.
Believing in the Scriptures: The Bible mentions that Jesus lived in heaven before he came to earth, When God created the heavens and the earth, God also created his many heavenly angles, as well as Jesus, was the archangel, who was his very own begotten son. “Then I was beside him as a master worker. I was the one he was especially fond of day by day; I rejoiced before him all the time; I rejoiced over his habitable earth, and I was especially fond of the Sons of men”. Proverbs. 8: 30-31. In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. ‘He’ was with God in the beginning. Meaning ‘Jesus’ was with God in the beginning. John. 1: 1-2. God spoke his word to become human through his only begotten son Jesus Christ. Jesus took upon himself fully human and fully God’s power in him. John wrote this gospel so that we truly believe that he truly was the Son of God, the word becomes flesh. Verse 14, God spoke his word through his messengers and prophets; the angel of God appeared to Joseph in a dream that his word becomes flesh in Christ Jesus. God is Spirit and his Spirit existed even before the creation of heaven and the earth. When God spoke through his Spirit and power everything came into living and existing. Through God’s Spirit and power, he transferred his son Jesus Christ from heaven to earth a fruit of a womb in a woman, through the earthly system to be born as a human through Mary. God Spirit and power works through Jesus the Son of God and all Christians through Jesus Christ to our everlasting life God. The bible teaches us that the Father is greater than the Son. Jesus himself said that the Father is greater than I. John 14: 28. Jesus did not compare himself equal with God, but that God is greater than him. Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. 1 Corinthians 11:3. Micah prophesied that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem and said that His origin was “from ancient times, from the days of long ago.” Micah 5:2, that means that Jesus was heavenly spiritual Son of God from the days of long ago. If we read further readings from John 3:13, Says; Moreover, no man has ascended into heaven but the one who descended from heaven, the Son of man. For example, God would have said to Jesus my son you will be going down to earth since you are fond of the Sons of men on earth. Jesus was born as a human but return to heaven in a Spiritual being. While here on earth, his ministry of supernatural powers begins after his anointed baptism in the water.
Jesus came from heaven to earth: Jesus' purpose was to do his father’s plans for the people of earth. Then, God sends Jesus his only son. It did not just happen overnight, but it was already in God’s plan. Jesus said “for I have come down from heaven to do, not my own will, but the will of him who sent me. John. 6: 38. Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were murmuring about this, said to them. Does this stumble you? What, therefore, if you should see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before: John 6:61-62. Jesus was saying that he was in heaven before he came down to earth and he will ascend to heaven. Jesus did not say that he was God’ and he did not come to do his own will, but the will of him who sent him. That means that there is a superior God above him and that God was his father in heaven. Jesus's special role was to save people here on earth to have everlasting life with God; he came from heaven to earth to show the way to Jehovah our heavenly father. Jesus is God's only begotten son. Remember when Jesus had water baptizing? John did not doubt that Jesus was the Son of God. John 1:34, Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John. 14:6. Coming to know God through his son Jesus Christ leads us to everlasting life. This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. See what Jesus said “The only true God. John .17:3.
A New Commandment: Jesus also showed us the way to treat others, I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this, all will know that you are my disciples if you have love among yourselves. Jesus is the perfect reflection of his Father that is why he said, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father also. God’s Holy Spirit and the power were at work through his only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Jesus said to him: Even after I have been with you men for such a long time, Philip, have you not come to know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father also. How is it you say, “Show us the Father? The four Bible books known as the Gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John tell us so much about the life, activity, and personal qualities of Jesus Christ. Jesus was known as “Teacher” You address me as “Teacher” and “Lord,” and you are correct, for I am such. John. 13. 13. During his time of ministry, Jesus was preaching the good news of the Kingdom and healing all sorts of disease and every sort of infirmity among the people. Matthew. 4: 23. Now and then Jesus would bring his disciples focus back to God, Jesus, in turn, answered them and said; what I teach is not mine but belongs to him who sent me. John, 7: 16,
Jesus a Saviour to God's kingdom: Jesus was not a man who would sit in the synagogues and wait for people to come into the synagogue for prayer. The synagogue was a place where religious leaders who were teaching people the truth about God; they were neglecting people outside for many other religious reasons. Jesus was doing his father's will by going out to preach and pray for the poor and healing the sick. Jesus touches them and was moved with compassion, he prayed and restored them. He was teaching everyone about Gods' kingdom and everywhere he found people in the countryside, in cities, in villages, in marketplaces, and their homes. Jesus did not expect or wait for people to come to him, but he went out to people. And wherever he would enter villages or cities or the countryside, they would place the sick ones in the marketplaces, and they would plead with him that they might be healed and even a woman touched just the fringe of his outer garment and she was made well. The people who were touched by Jesus were made well. Mark 6:56, in doing so he was doing God's will. Jesus then said: After you have lifted the Son of man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing of my initiative; but just as the Father taught me, I speak these things. And the One who sent me is with me; he did not abandon me to myself, because I always do the things pleasing to him, John, 8: 28-29. Jesus knew how much people needed to hear the good news about God's Kingdom message. “And Jesus set out on a tour of all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news of the Kingdom and curing every sort of disease and every sort of infirmity. On seeing the crowds, he felt pity for them, because they were skinned and thrown about like sheep without a shepherd.” Matthew. 9: 35 - 36.
Jesus was impartial: The qualities of Jesus are truly a man of tender warmth and deep feelings. He was approachable and kind-hearted and loving towards everyone. Even little children felt at ease with him. “People now began bringing him young children for him to touch them, but the disciples reprimanded them. At seeing this, Jesus was indignant and said to them: “Let the young children come to me; do not try to stop them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such ones. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it. Mark. 10: 13-16. Jesus was impartial. He hated corruption and injustice. When “Jesus entered the temple and threw out all those selling and buying in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the benches of those selling doves, he said to them; “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it a cave of robbers.” Matthew. 21:12-13. Jesus was angry for righteousness' sake. It is far better to correct people for righteousness than let them carry on with their corruption and injustice ways. During his ministry times when a woman received little respect and had few privileges, he treated them with dignity. For example, The Samaritan woman for Jews has no dealings with Samaritans. “So, the Samaritan woman said to him: How is it that you, despite being a Jew, ask me for a drink even though I am a Samaritan woman?” John. 4:9. Jesus was truly humble he even washed the feet of his disciples that this kind of service would normally be done by a lowly servant. Jesus was moved with compassion and sensitivity to the needs of others. It is evident that when Jesus was under the supernatural power of God or God's Spirit, he performed miracles of healing. “When he came ashore, he saw a large crowd, and he felt pity for them, and he cured their sick ones.” Matthew. 14:14. Example of how Jesus felt for people’s pain and suffering, He was moved with compassion and reaching out his hands to touch the sick and healing them. For example, a leper man, “There also came to him a leper, pleading with him even on bended knee, saying to him: “If you just want to, you can make me clean.” At that, he was moved with pity, and he stretched out his hand and touched him, and said to him: I want to! We make clean,” Immediately leprosy vanished from him, and he became clean.” Mark. 1: 40-42. Can you imagine how that man must have felt? He was kept away from others because of his leprosy or no one cared enough to touch his hands, Jesus was full of mercy and kindness came and touches his hands that made him whole again. Jesus was indeed so faithful until death; it was a cruel and painful death at the hands of those he had nothing against.
Jesus came to save others: “More than that, he did not come to this earth to be served but to save others, when he came as a man, he humbled himself and become obedient to the point of death, yes, death on a torture stake. Philippians. 2:8.” Jesus was going through all sorts of inhuman treatment at the time of his death. He was arrested by false witnesses, convicted by corrupt judges, laughed at by mobs, and tortured by soldiers. Nailed to a stake, yet he was still humble and quiet at the point of death and said his last prayer “Father forgive them” and he took his last breath, crying out: “It has been accomplished!” Meaning he came down for a mission to fulfill it for his Father in Heaven. When he had received the sour wine, Jesus said: “it has been accomplished!” and bowing his head, he gave up his spirit. Jesus's death opens to us the opportunity for eternal life with God. “For Christ died once for all time for sins, a righteous person for unrighteous ones, to lead you to God. He was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.” 1 Peter. 3: 18. After few appearances to his disciples on earth and others a few days after his death, he returned to heaven. But this man offered one sacrifice for sins for all time and sat down at the right hand of God, from then on waiting until his enemies should be placed as a stool for his feet. Hebrew 10:12-13.
Jesus asked his disciples: He said to them: “You thought, who do you say I am?’’ Simon Peter answered: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” In response, Jesus said to him: “Happy you are, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal it you, but my Father in heavens did.” Matthew. 16: 15-17. See Simon knew who Jesus was and said; “You are the Christ the Son of the Living God.” And see how Jesus respond was; my Father in Heaven revealed it to you.“For this is what Jehovah says, The Creator of the heavens, the true God, The One who formed the earth, its Maker who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.” Isaiah, 45: 18. Jehovah God is a living God; he existed long before the creation of the world. The highlighted words mean there is no mother of God or father of God. If we search the scriptures we will only find the Sons of God or the Son of God, or Son of man, but no mother of God or father of God; and there is no one else but God Jehovah. “So, my word that goes out of my mouth will be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly accomplish whatever is my delight, and it will have sure success in what I send it to do.” Isaiah, 55: 11. Jehovah spoke his word and sent his son Jesus Christ to earth to accomplish his will to be a successor in what he sent him to do.
Jesus said to her: “Believe me, woman, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know because salvation begins with the Jews. Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for indeed, the Father is looking for ones like these who worship him. God is present everywhere and can be worship anywhere, at any time. Is your worship genuine and true? Jesus said that the true worshipers must worship the “Father in spirit and truth”. Jesus was always pointing us towards the Father in Heaven. We should be thankful and worship our God, and thank Jehovah God, for sending Jesus Christ to save us from our sins. Be imitators of Christ means our deeds and action are Christ-like manners through the Holy Spirit and power and the knowledge of Jehovah working through Christ on our behalf.
