The Quality of Your Vibes Equation

Your vibes, or your vibrational frequency, simply means your life force energy, the seemingly unseen field of energy that surrounds you. We say “seemingly” because actually all of us have the ability to read one another’s energy fields. Think about it - can’t you tell when someone is not doing well? Even if a person is not yelling and screaming, you can tell that they are angry, can’t you? Similarly, when a person is feeling great, you find yourself feeling better just being in their presence. We describe people like this as having charisma, a personal magnetism that draws others in. They exude a joy for life and most of us find this aliveness very alluring. This magnetism comes from their energetic field, their high vibrational frequency and it lifts the energy of all those around them.

The quality of your frequency is a result of many factors. Remember that everything is energy, so that means every thought you think affects the quality of your frequency. Pause for a moment and consider that when you are worried about something, it changes the way you feel and your outlook on life. You may fear the worst or expect the “other shoe to drop.” Feelings like this cause a contraction in the body, a shutting down. In fact, when you continually think negative thoughts, the Universe thinks that’s what you are asking for, so it becomes a self- fulfilling prophecy. Many people on Earth have consciously or unconsciously chosen to be on the path of suffering and struggle. Our ancestors passed this thinking on down to us through the ancestral line or through the way we were raised. “No pain, no gain” and “we learn things the hard way” were phrases we heard when we were growing up. Fortunately, many years ago some of us were lucky enough to learn about the shift on Earth that is currently under way and had a chance to practice choosing to be on the path of ease and joy. Yes, it takes practice and choosing again and again. Every time we notice we’ve chosen suffering and struggle, we let go and ask, what could be an easier choice that would bring more joy? Eventually we got really good at this, catching wrong choices faster and faster until we had incorporated the higher vibrational choice for joy and ease. We also say, “Cancel! Cancel! Cancel!” whenever we find ourselves thinking a negative or fear-based thought, and then think a positive thought. It’s empowering to know that you choose the thoughts you think, and that your thoughts are always creating your reality. Yes it takes awareness, but mostly it takes you being clear about the pay-off.

Another component of your vibes is the experience of stuck or stagnating energy that you are holding in your energy centers, or chakras. Your chakras are like mini-computers in that they receive, store, and transmit energy. We have seven primary energy centers that govern the wellbeing of our emotional, physical, mental and spiritual bodies. When we hold on to emotional wounds, old beliefs or other people’s energy, it causes blockages in the chakras and prevents the flow of energy. Energy needs to move and vibrate, so when it’s blocked it creates a dis-ease in the body that if untreated will manifest into disease and depression. This stuck energy also transmits out the chakra where it’s stored and attracts matching energy to it. This means that if you have a fear of not being lovable and are storing old pictures and stories where you “proved” to yourself that you were right about that, you will keep attracting people in your life that reinforce your belief that you are not lovable. See how it works? Holding on to beliefs, grudges or wounds like this will slow the vibration of your field and keep pulling you down energetically until you give up. Sound familiar? Unfortunately, no amount of positive thinking will change your results until you release that old stuck energy out of your chakras and bring in a higher frequency to reprogram them.

Now let’s look at the impact your food choices have on your vibes. We all know that feeling of heaviness that weighs us down after a big meal – we feel stuffed and our body is tasked with trying to digest it all, before we eat again. Very often we eat again before the body has finished digesting what we already ate which further taxes the body and results in a feeling of sluggishness. We all know this place!

There are four types of food:

Biogenic: These are foods that create new life: sprouted legumes, grains, nuts and seeds

Bioactive: These foods sustain life: fresh fruits and vegetables (organic is significantly better)

Biostatic: This is the kind of food that ages people: cooked food (the life-force is cooked out of it)

Biocidic: These are known as disease producing “dead foods”: processed and packaged foods filled with artificial sugars and preservatives that contain no life force at all. This includes all soda pops and diet foods and beverages.

Poor food choices lead to a backed up colon and a backed up colon is a sure way to lower your frequency. Laxatives are not the answer. They irritate the colon causing the bowels to move, flushing out the laxative as well as any feces soft enough to move out. Your body can be eliminating to some degree which gives you the false idea that all is well. But the hardened feces that build up and are stored in pockets require special techniques, such as a colon cleanse. Once you really clear and clean the colon, you will be amazed at the difference in how you feel, as most of us have no idea how constipated we really are!

After doing a colon cleanse you may consider a liver cleanse. Why? A major function of the liver is to clean your blood, and you want the blood that comes to your liver as toxin-free as possible. If your colon is obstructed with years of accumulated debris, the massive amounts of toxins to be eliminated from a liver cleansing cannot easily be evacuated from your body if your colon is blocked. Therefore, it is essential to cleanse the colon before beginning a liver cleanse.

In today’s world our liver (actually all of our organs) are at great risk of contamination from environmental toxins and over-processed foods infused with many unnatural chemicals. If your liver is not functioning well, a hazardous buildup of toxins may occur.

In fact an inflamed liver is the cause of most disease in the body. To cleanse and detoxify your liver is one of the most powerful procedures you can do to enhance your body’s performance. A sluggish liver can lead to serious fatigue, weight gain, water retention, and a host of other digestive health problems.

Just a few more key points about how our food choices affect our frequency. Your body creates acidity at the cellular level, however the fluids that surround your cells must be alkaline – it is this dance of acid and alkaline that produce energy. Taking in alkalizing foods and beverages is a way to maintain this balance. When the body is running acidic, over a period of time it will block the body’s ability to absorb essential vitamins and minerals. An acidic condition in our body will give rise to a host of illnesses, including sleeplessness, digestive problems, immune challenges, premature aging and, of course, lack of energy. The primary culprits are dairy and sugar, all fried foods, soda drinks, alcohol, and coffee. Alkaline-forming foods include almonds, avocado and most vegetables except the white potato.

I have been on a mission to improve my health and vitality for some time now. In the past I would get easily discouraged when I did not see the results I desired and wondered if what I was doing was really making a difference. One day I would read that eating specific foods were good for the body and the next day someone else made exactly the opposite statement. So when I discovered the acid/alkalinity balance information I became very excited. By purchasing an inexpensive Home Test ph Kit I could monitor what was really going on in my body. I learned that disease thrives in an acid environment and my readings showed my body was highly acidic. I began making my food choices by following the chart of Alkaline-Forming Foods that outlines from the highest to the lowest alkaline foods and low to high acid forming foods. The first change I made was to begin my day with an alkalizing breakfast in the form of a green drink and much to my surprise, I LOVE IT. For the first time I was getting a daily reading of what was happening in my body in response to what I had eaten the day before. After a few days of my eating plan, the reading began to shift from acid levels moving in the direction of alkalinity - time to celebrate! Then just as quickly I was back to where I started. I had eaten sugar, thinking the old story that a little won’t be a big deal. But it was a big deal and the proof was right in front of me. Do you know that to neutralize a glass of cola with a ph of 2.8, it would take 32 glasses of alkaline water with a ph of 7.0? Making better choices to support your health is imperative amidst the energy shifts that we are experiencing, and in the process you will also raise your frequency!!

Finally, the idea for all detoxification diets comes from the concern that toxins are constantly bombarding our bodies. Toxins are chemicals with potentially harmful effects. They may come from many sources including: alcohol; caffeine; pesticides or other chemicals used to grow or prepare food; smog or other substances in the air; substances such as artificial sweeteners added to food; sugar; and non-purified water. The belief is that the body holds onto toxins in the digestive, lymph, or gastrointestinal system as well as in skin and hair. This can cause problems such as fatigue, headache, nausea, and a wide range of chronic diseases.

We are not doctors, we are spiritual energy healers, so if you have more questions about any of these detoxification processes, we encourage you to consult a health professional.

There are three more topics that need to be addressed which contribute dramatically to the quality of our vibes.

The first is the impact of not moving your body on a regular basis. The body is made-up of energy and energy needs to move. So get off the couch and be active! Go for a walk, sing and dance to your favorite music, stretch your body regularly. Movement is essential to integrate the higher frequency energy pouring into the planet. Move your body but do what makes you happy – no grimacing as you do mindless repetitions - that only weakens your nervous system!

Next, let’s talk about the impact your environment has on your frequency. Are you surrounded by clutter and chaos? Or do you switch on the news as soon as you wake up? We are already bombarded by toxic pollution, both indoors and outside so why contribute to it? Do you know any people who consistently run drama in their lives? It’s exhausting for them and anyone else who gets caught up in it with them. Most of our television programming keeps the drama going, just in case you don’t have enough in your own life! Noise is another huge pollutant. Have you ever found yourself shouting to be heard in a restaurant? How nourishing do you think the pricey food you are eating is in that kind of environment? Are you consciously aware of tasting the food? So what kind of environment raises frequency? We would say peaceful, joyous, connected, harmonious, and kind environments. Of course being out in nature always helps. The cleaner the air, the more beautiful the scenery, the better. Just remember to breathe deeply.

Finally, let’s look at the impact of joy on our frequency. Doing what you love makes you happy and raises frequency So does being with people you love and spending quality time alone. Doing what you hate or dislike lowers frequency by shutting down your joy. Many of us were told that we couldn’t expect to love what we do for a living, after all that’s why it’s called “work”, but more and more of us are discovering that this does not have to be true. The definition of work is “physical or mental effort or activity directed toward the production or accomplishment of something.” There’s nothing wrong or “unjoyful” with that, now is there?

The vibration of our will is what ultimately keeps our spirit alive in our bodies. Often we see older people not wanting to do anything any more. Inactivity or self- limitations can signal to the will that it’s time to begin the process of dying. So think about the message you are sending to your will. Are you saying that it’s not okay to have desires or to act on them? Or are you saying you only get to live after 5PM on a weekday, on weekends, or in retirement? It’s too big of a price to pay, wouldn’t you agree?

This chapter was designed to assist you in making new choices that raise not lower your frequency, and to assist you in finding your way onto the path of joy and ease. We recommend it!

You may have heard “if all we needed was information we would all be happy, healthy, wealthy and thin!” We have more information readily available than ever before.

The key to making lasting changes is by gathering the information and then taking “Inspired Actions” designed to support your life rather than overwhelm your life. Begin with choosing 1-3 Inspired Actions based on this chapter - more is not better. The idea is to set yourself up for success.

Suggestions for Inspired Actions (Choose 1-3)

 Choose a recurring negative thought. Each time that thought arises say “cancel, cancel, cancel” and replace it with a positive thought. Do this as many times as it takes. Once you have transformed that thought move to another.

 Review the list of food types. Notice where you are making the majority of your choices. Now decide to upgrade by adding an increased number of Bioactive or Biogenic foods. Commit for a specific time period and notice the positive changes.

 Research a cleanse that will support your health and fit into your current lifestyle. Set a date to begin and start reclaiming a higher level of wellbeing.

 Purchase a Home Test PH kit. Discover your current acid/alkaline level. Chart your food changes and the corresponding change in your PH.

 Move your body, move your body, move your body. Set a schedule that you will be able to manage. We suggest you start out with less time and frequency and build up. If you take on too much it will become another disappointment and that will only lower your frequency.

 Notice how your environment affects your wellbeing. Remove anything that is an irritant. Make conscious choices about where you spend your time and with whom. Choose one area where you will not compromise yourself any longer.

 Ask yourself, “am I happy and where could I bring more joy into my life?” Take some time to go below the immediate surface answer. Your intuition will suprise and delight you if you allow it.
