Dear Uncle Norman,

Here is my report you asked for on John Wayne. John Wayne was not his name when he was born. It was Marion Robert Morrison. He was born on May 26th, 1907. As a young boy he had a dog name Duke and that’s the name he liked more than Marion. He was a famous movie star. He was in cowboy movies. I think it is funny that a cowboy like John Wayne was named Marion because Marion is a girl’s name except it is usually spelled MariAn with an A instead of O. I don’t like cowboy movies because they are boring. But I think I would have liked John Wayne because he was nice. He died in 1980 when he was of 73 age.

His famous saying is WELL PILGRIM because he called all the people PILGRIM
