Chapter 5: David Takes the Cowboy out of town

Оглавление

David and Cowboy Joe found themselves engaged in a heart-to-heart conversation. David’s eyes shone with enthusiasm as he listened intently to Joe’s every word, eager to absorb the former cowboy’s wisdom and experience.

Sitting in the shade of an old oak tree, David leaned over and asked with genuine curiosity.

His voice was full of hope and determination, reflecting his deep desire to become a real cowboy.

Although Joe recognized David’s passion, he hesitated. He had his own responsibilities and he wasn’t sure if he could take on the role of mentor. «I have a lot on my plate, David,» Joe explained.

– «I can’t promise to teach you everything, but I think I can show you a few things when I have time.

David nodded readily, realizing the weight of Joe’s words. He knew that becoming a cowboy would not be easy, but he was determined to prove himself. With a reassuring smile, David expressed his gratitude, «Thank you, Joe. I’ll do my best to learn. I won’t let you down.

With a quiet roar, David brought out a sturdy cart, its wheels squeaking quietly as he harnessed the faithful horse into it. In the shadows, cowboy Joe waited, his eyes shining with gratitude and hope.

– Thank you, David, Joe whispered, his voice full of emotion.

– I couldn’t have dreamed of a better friend.

Smiling encouragingly, David helped Joe into the wagon, carefully covering him with a tarp so he wouldn’t be discovered. Clicking his tongue lightly, David drove the horse forward and they trotted off into the night.

As they rode through the streets, the town was silent, the only sound being the soft clatter of the horse’s hooves on the dirt road. David drove the wagon skillfully and carefully, avoiding the main roads and keeping in the shadows to hide from prying eyes.
