The Ancients never differentiated between

heart and mind

… because both were considered to be one.

Nor did the Ancients distinguish between

spirit and body, and thus not between thinking

and emotion.

They didn’t draw a line between thoughts

and deeds, nor between logic and intuition.

In that they saw thinking as synonymous with

the heart, they avoided thousands of

philosophical problems.

We, who’ve forgotten that heart and mind

are one, could solve thousands of problems

every day if we only remembered

the one word: heart.
