ОглавлениеTool tips
The profile of your pen tip, obviously, affects both the width
of the line you burn as well as what type of texture or stroke
patterns that is most appropriate to that tip.
As you work your practice board, try each tip profile that you
have for each of the texture and fill strokes that you may be using
on your project.
A crosshatch pattern made with the micro writing tip will
create a pale, thin lined, open checkering design. Using the
standard writing tip that same crosshatching will look like a
pen and ink illustration with bolder lines. Wide basket-weave
strokes are made using a spoon or square shader and that same
crosshatch fill pattern.
1
Standard tip.
The standard writing tip provides a medium-sized
line that can easily handle temperature ranges from extremely
pale through almost black toned burns.
2
Medium square.
The shader tip makes large, wide strokes,
best used for even-colored fill areas. A medium square shader is
shown here.
3
Micro writer.
With its extra-fine point, the micro writer can be
used to create extremely fine, pale tonal textures, adding names
and dates, and used to create a fine line outline stroke.
